We just had to change our Trip from May to September. So I have had to cancel all of My ADR's and has got me rethinking the ones I had booked. Let me know your thoughts and opinions. We did 4 Character meals last time and got sick of buffets. But wondering if I should work in one night at Chef Mickeys or somewhere else. We have 7 day park tickets no park hopper and 7 nights on DDP Current plan based on what I had booked for May. We do like to have a drink with dinner so anywhere besides BOG in the Magic Kingdom probably won't fly with the husband for dinner.
Saturday 9/5 (this is our arrival day) Rose and Crown for hopefully around 8 pm for fireworks viewing
Sunday 9/6 Hollywood Studio's- 50's Prime time
Monday 9/7 Maya Grill at CSR we are doing animal kingdom this day and want a night in
Tuesday 9/8 MK- BOG dinner if available if not Whispering Canyon Cafe
Wednesday 9/9 MK- BOG if not available day before or WCC or unsure if I can't get BOG either day
Thursday 9/10 Epcot- Via Napoli
Friday 9/11 I am totally unsure on this day. We need another park for this day too. In may this would have been a 2nd star wars weekend day but we won't need 2 days at HS or AK now. So unsure for a 3rd day at epcot or MK. Leaning towards just a night only at Epcot and having morning to pack and swim. If we did Epcot was thinking maybe dinner at Coral Reef though DS would enjoy that.

I think it all sounds good.
For your last option, personally I can't stand Chef Mickey. Coral Reef could be a good option but since you mentioned a character meal there is Garden Grill at The Land in EPCOT. Character interaction there is great.

I don't love chef Mickey's either but it is DS's favorite. We ate at Garden Grill on our last trip and I really enjoyed it but DS wasn't crazy about the lack of food options. Trying to think of Kid friendly restaurants thought coral reef would be a good option for all of us.

If BOG doesn't pan out you could have dinner at one of the monorail resorts. That way DH can have his dinner drink but you would still be close to MK. Kona Cafe, GFC, and the Wave are all options.

I've got a huge aversion to CMs dinner. Would you consider a pre park opening breakfast there instead? Another thought for your last night, if you won't be staying late at a park, would be to try a DTD restaurant. We love Raglan RD. Good food and entertainment.

You know kona cafe has been on my radar we did ohana last trip but everything I see from kona looks great!

We aren't big breakfast people and we are staying in business class at CSR so we have access to the free breakfast there.

for your nights on the 8th and 9th...O'Hannas, Grand Floridian Cafe, even 1900 Park Fare... I know trying to stay away from buffets- but , hey its the grand floridian...they do it a bit better

On our MK day we went to the Wave for dinner. Filet was excellent as was the press pot coffee. I would return

We had lunch at Kona and the food was incredible! We'd definitely go back for dinner. I was disappointed though because I had looked at an old menu that had sushi and they didn't have it when we went.

My opinion on Coral Reef might be a little skewed. Went there in May and was dealing with heat stroke. I felt absolutely horrible but the positive is that it was cool and dark in there. I just wanted to crawl under the table and sleep. haha All I had was some crab dip and it wasn't that great. I probably wouldn't bother going back but then again I am not much of a seafood girl. We waited to sit by the tank because our friend was diving at the time and we wanted to see her float by. The experience would be very disappointing if you were placed up on the tiers away from the tank.

And I agree that you should make a downtown disney or maybe a resort reservation on your last day so that you can leave that day open for whatever park you feel like doing again!
