It would make sense if she is taken hostage. She comes out of the situation and they decide not to wait because of some sappy reason.

That's what I was thinking. It wouldn't really be out of the blue since they've been together for about 5 years and have a son.

Interesting article I just found: http://entertainment.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474981292252

Nicholas Brendon is back as Kevin Lynch, which you expected since the couple getting married is either Will and JJ or Kevin and Garcia. Since Kevin and Garcia are on the outs when she didn't react well to finding out she was going to propose and with Candy Clark guest starring as JJ's mother, it is looking like JJ and Will are going to be heading down the aisle.

Finally, there's Sebastian Roché returning as Clyde Easter. He was part of Prentiss' storyline last season with Ian Doyle, and with Prentiss thinking about her future (and saying goodbye at the end of "Run"), will he be helping her figure out what she's going to do next?

The case of these two episodes will involve the bank hostage situation, and Tricia Helfer and Evan Jones, will be guest starring as the robbers, while Josh Randall will be playing a hostage. One of the team is going to end up a hostage, and a photo has been released showing Morgan and Prentiss holding JJ back as Hotch stands behind them, presumably outside the bank. Is it safe to assume that the one going in isn't one of them? Could one of JJ's loved ones be a hostage in the bank? Is Reid going to be a hostage again?

Here's the picture they mentioned:

Actually out of all the people who know NOT to make instant life changing decisions after a traumatic event, it would be a profiler. Also grief counselors & trauma counselors state that too. While sometimes life changing events d bring some clarity for people, there is often a state of euphoria that happens, that can cloud someone's judgment. When the euphoria ends, they are back to the situations & problems they had before. As in, if they wasn't enough there to get married or to sell off all of one's possession & move to Tahiti, there might not be after the euphoria and light bulb moment have worn off. Counselors usually warn to wait 6-12 months before making major life changing decisions after a traumatic event like a death, divorce, and (I'm assuming) a hostage situation.

J.J. mentioned earlier in the season her & Will having been having problems with her traveling so much with the BAU. Before, she got to stay behind a lot with Garcia. Then when she went to work with the State dept., she was home permanently.

According to the storyline, they have never mentioned that she has resolved those issues with Will. That is not going to go away if they get married.

Could one of JJ's loved ones be a hostage in the bank?

Has it occurred to you that maybe J.J.'s mother is the HOSTAGE?

Other than Reid, Will & Henry, who else would she have such an emotional reaction over and have to be held back?

Besides that, this show likes to bring back recurring personal tidbits about each member.

Hotch: We saw from the beginning, his happy marriage, the birth of his child, the de-evolution to the divorce of his marriage, to Haley's murder. Now he's dating again.

Reid: We have seen his mother over and over, the schizophrenia theme, & how his father's absence has played out in both is relationship with Gideon and his need to seek vengeance for his father abandoning him.

Morgan: Carl Buford & the effects of having an authority figure betray him, and his inability to really let people close & to trust them has been reoccurring. His family has come into play in 3 episodes.

Rossi: from the beginning, we've heard about his 3 marriages, so that we finally get to meet wife #1.

Prentiss: From the moment she steps into Hotch's office, his first words are about her mother, the ambassador. She was also mentioned in various episodes until she showed up in one, as Kate Jackson, needing help.

Garcia: Kevin has been in quite a bit of episodes. She has talked about losing her parents in a car crash & the effects of losing her world and what that has done to her, from always needing to dress in bright colors, to the BAU being her replacement family.

Tink, you are right in that J.J. hasn't had a family member factor into her story lines before or a story about her or a family member really being in jeopardy. The only thing we know of J.J.'s past is that she's from Philadelphia and had a sister that committed suicide. I don't think that when they play the "mother card" for her, as they did with Reid & Prentiss, it will just be to show up for the wedding. :confused3

AJ Cook, said in an interview, that when she came back, she wanted to re-write her character a bit as who J.J. was previously was obviously thought to be expendable to the studio exec, that they fired her. This season, she's gone out of her way to prove she is tough as nails, intelligent & every bit as much a profiler as the rest of the team and not a blonde, expendable piece of fluff.

We are losing the strongest female member of the team when Prentiss leaves. She & Morgan always "goes through the door" together. They have each other's back. She isn't weaker, where Morgan has to make up for Prentiss. She's got his back just as much.

I always thought Seaver was a huge mistake within the dynamics of the team. Not only was she as dumb as a doornail, she was the weakest member, as a cadet grad, lacking experience and the team had to carry her.

With Prentiss leaving, I'd actually rather they not replace her. As J.J. is proving to be a strong profiler, they might not have to. The team would still work with one less member. (Although that leaves Reid sitting alone by the chalkboard again. :( )

I don't think they will write J.J. as having a sappy moment and suddenly wanting to get married. it doesn't fit who her character has always been or the direction she has been wanting be perceived.

Unless AJ Cook is pregnant, and they have to fit that into the story line, I don't think she is the one getting married. :scratchin

It makes more sense to me that Garcia & Kevin do. It is a part of their re-occuring theme. Kevin made a HUGE move by even going to Morgan to ask for advice. That wasn't a small moment in the show.

It also makes sense to me that Will & Henry would be at their wedding and Henry, not Jack, standing up there for them as Henry is Garcia's God son. Of course, he'd be in her wedding or at least, at it.

There was the beginning of an episode where the girls were out having a gals nite out together. Garcia runs up to them with a whole bunch of packages she bought for Henry, because she adores him. Garcia & J.J. hang out together and she sees Henry a lot.

These are my speculations that I am tossing in. We have a week for everyone to come up with the closest idea of what will really happen. :lmao:

Details...details...

I obviously don't put as much thought into this show as the rest of you. I love that you guys do though, it keeps me in the loop! :rotfl:

I'm sure if real profilers read how much I am into this show, they are probably going:

:rotfl:

I like reading other people's ideas about what they think will happen. In the past, someone who doesn't post very often will post an idea that turns out to be a zinger! :thumbsup2

As for staying in the loop. I post a lot of the pictures of the cast, but every time there has been major news about the show, firings, re-hirings, the show getting renewed, etc., it has always been someone else, who may not post a lot, posting it. I love how this thread works. :woohoo:

Has it occurred to you that maybe J.J.'s mother is the HOSTAGE?

I did think about that, but then I thought what would she be doing at a bank in Quantico? I just checked to see if she's in both episodes or just one. Some sites say both, others say just the second one. If she's only in the second one, I don't think she could be the hostage. Plus, every article says that one of the team members will be a hostage

I definitely agree that the quick marriage decision would be out of character for JJ. Maybe they've been planning on getting married and just never set a date, and if JJ or Will are one of the hostages they just decide not to wait. I distinctly remember back in season three when JJ announced the pregnancy, Will said that he had asked her to marry him. They never mentioned if she said yes :confused3

It just seems weird to me that they would choose a season finale with a lot going on as a good time to introduce a parent who's never been on the show. If it was an episode in the middle of the season I wouldn't question it at all. There's definitely something going on with JJ's family in this episode.

As for Reid potentially being the hostage, I think Morgan would be just as eager to go in there as JJ. I also doubt they'd do that to Reid again. That would be like the 5th time

Apparently Agent Anderson is in the episode too. Maybe he's the hostage :rotfl:

Ah, Anderson! He has never made up for leaving Elle that time he was supposed to have driven her home and STAYED with her. Wouldn't that be funny if he was the one? :lmao: He is a part of the whole BAU if not the team.

Maybe J.J.'s mom came to visit her & went to the bank?

Plus, I read that it's supposed to be a cliffhanger again. Although, last year's cliffhanger was such a non-event :upsidedow I didn't want to mention it again. Maybe she's in there in the second episode and we have to wait all summer to see if J.J. gets her out? Although the previews showed a bomb went off.

I read an article somewhere with AJ Cook, where she had said J.J. didn't want to get married. She wanted to be a modern woman.

And if it's Reid again as hostage, if this doesn't drive him crazy, I don't think the schizophrenia will. :lmao:

Rossi isn't in the picture you posted. :scratchin

Oh! It could be Reid. Matthew's contract is up this season. He has to renegotiate for a new contract. Last season, the writers purposely wrote the show so Morgan & Hitch didn't have to come back if they'd rather walk from their contract negotiations.

CBS/ABC would be stupid not to bring back Reid AND lose Prentiss, too. But, stupid, we've already seen they can do. :headache:

I'm gonna explode if it turns out to be Strauss or Anderson or some random agent in the bank, after making us think it's a main character :rotfl:

I keep reading conflicting things about the ending. I've read some articles that say it's a cliffhanger ending, and I've read other articles that say it ends with the wedding. They could definitely do a cliffhanger involving Reid since MGG's contract is up. The cliffhanger definitely won't be about Prentiss since we already know she's leaving. That wouldn't be suspenseful at all, and she's definitely leaving in the finale, not in next season's first episode.

On a side note, Paget has said that she'd be open to guest starring on CM in the future :)

This is another theory I've seen about JJ's mom:

But why is Mama Jareau making an appearance? Does it have anything to do with JJ's son Henry, who faced some health issues earlier in the season? (Henry had to be taken to the hospital after a spike in his fever caused a seizure, though the doctor said that was normal for kids Henry's age and sent him home a few hours later.) Was that incident an indication of a more serious illness?

I hope that's not it :(

I just saw a preview that showed Reid saying "Garcia, get them out of there." So...perhaps that means he is NOT the one in the bank?

I saw that a little while ago too. Strauss was in the background of one of the shots too. So I think it's poor Anderson. He's the FBI agent back in season 2(?) when he was supposed to drive Elle home & stay with her. Instead he dropped her off & left & she got shot by the Fisher King unsub.

I saw it too. I'm gonna be so mad if it's Anderson, just because I've been trying to figure out who the hostage is since the episode description came out like two months ago :rotfl:

How about this scenario? For some reason Anderson has to escort J.J.'s mom to the bank for some reason. Maybe she's buying more bonds, cashing some in? And they wind up in that hostage situation while at the bank?

That pic of J.J. isn't about her mom so much as she wants to go in there and strangle Anderson herself. :rotfl: No more letting Anderson escort anyone anywhere. :rotfl2:

Who's excited for tonight?! :cool1:

I'm watching CM on A&E to get ready :thumbsup2

It will be bittersweet tonight. Hopefully a happy wedding, yet saying goodbye to Prentiss (again.)

I saw a longer commercial for the episode last night and they showed JJ screaming with Morgan and Prentiss holding her back. I really think it's some combination of Will/Henry/her mom.

And the end of the season  At least we won't be freaking out about TG and Shemar's contracts all summer. I really don't think we have to worry about MGG. But then again, the people at CBS have been stupid before...I'm also hoping they don't replace Prentiss and just leave the team alone. We'll find out this summer popcorn::

Okay I just rewatched the extended promo I saw last night. You can see Will going in, wearing his badge (But didn't he quit?)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLLiKrGqutc

In one of the promos, you can hear J.J. yell either "Wait!" or "Will!" just before Morgan holds her back.

He quit working for he New Orleans P.D. I assumed he got work up near Quantico or D.C. as a detective.

I think MGG's new contract will hinge on how many episodes he gets to direct and how much money he wants for doing both acing & directing.

His degree from NYU is in directing. So he he wants to position himself to get as many episodes directing as possible. This way he has a nice reel when CM is over.

I don't think the Reid character is in trouble of being fired off he show, with Prentiss gone next season.

IF they replace Prentiss, I think it will be with a male. That's what the rumor the studio execs wanted when they fired both Prentiss & J.J. last season.
