Cricut

I use the following carts a lot:
Mickey Font
Storybook
All Mixed Up
Either of the paper doll carts
Create a Critter

I need to look at the most updated list of carts so that I can get an idea of what I want to look for this weekend.

I will see if I can dig up some pictures of things I have made. If you google freezer paper tshirts you will get an idea of what I have made. Basically you cut your words out of freezer paper with the cricut. Then you iron the waxy side of the paper onto your shirt and paint in the letters. It looks great and lasts for a long time!

I think I am going to bite the bullet and get the expression from Joanne's.
Thanks for all the ideas. A friend told me there is a place in town that rents cartridges for 5.00/ for a couple days. I may rely on that rather than try to buy them. Anyone else ever rent cartridges?

I am not a scrapbooker either but, I do a lot of paper crafting like cards and I use it to cut out freezer paper to make screenprint tee shirts. I got it when you could get a computer program to connect it to but, they made them stop selling it now. If I were to get one now I would go for the Silhouette machine instead. You probably won't find a great deal on it like you can the cricut but, you don't have to buy cartridges you just run it off your computer.

I checked it out and it looks awesome! I hate that the programs are no longer available for the cricut.

I have never rented carts, but that is because I never pay over $30 for a cart. There are online retailers that sell them cheaper and there are deals to be found. Right now cricutmachine.com is having a big sale and some carts are $14.95. (If you order through them use paypal or a prepaid card as some people have had their credit card numbers compromised in the past.)
