Ok, so I am starting to Feel the Bug.... I have been watching the Infomercial for the Personal Cricut machine... I "THOUGHT" it was $49.95 Plus shipping and handling.. :confused3 That's how they advertise it on TV.. Anywayyyyyyyy so I went on the Website and found out it is 5 Payments of $49.95 :scared1: I almost fell off the Couch  WoW I was NOT expecting That at all :faint:

OK so PLEASE tell me is it REALLY worth it for me to invest so much money into a Scrap Booking Machine?? :rolleyes1

I HAVE tons and Tons of fancy Scissors.. and cutting tools.. and stuff... So does this Little Bug with a BIG Chirp REALLY REALLY replace All that?

Sorry to be sooo skepticle but I just can't imagine paying close to $300 for a machine.. :headache:

Oh and then I went on the Real Cricut website and saw one for $500 :scared:

I have a son to put through College starting in September.. :teacher: should I really buy this?? and Risk his College Fund just so I can Scrapbook Easier??

*disclaimer* I'm kidding about the College thing.. Yes, he is going.. and Yes we have been saving up for him to go.. so a Cricut really wouldn't hold back my son's Education... ;)

Well, I like to think of all the money my machine has saved me!

No more buying die cut letters, shapes, - I make my own
No more need to buy every Disney supply out there - I can make my own
No more running out of "e's" or any other letter sticker to make a title
Can make things as big or as small as I like.

Other than my albums, adhesive, and pictures, I consider my Cricut my main tool.

I agree with everything that scrappinmom. It really makes your scrapping life easier. Also, you can find the little Cricut for way less than $300, in fact you can get the bigger Cricut, the Expression, for close to $300 now. hallmarkscrapbook.com is a good source as well as customcrops.com. It looks like hallmarkscrapbook.com is out of the little Cricut at the moment, customcrops.com has it for $164.99. I know that people have even bought them for cheaper than that. Good luck- hope you get one!:thumbsup2

DO NOT!!! I repeat DO NOT buy from the infomercial!!!!!

You can the same machine at Walmart, ACMoore, and Michael's for way cheaper. Typically ACMoore has it on sale for like $129 with 1 cartridge. You can also buy the Expression (bigger machine) which is sometimes on sale for $300+ , I heard ACMoore will have the Expression with 4 cart on sale the week of 2/9.

Scrappinmom is right, the big thing is you can choose the size of your letters were the Sizzix machine and stickers and such are as is. Also 3 of my kids names end in -AN so I was forever running out of those 2 letters. And all the embellishments are awesome! There is so much you can do with the Cricut.
Check out www.cricut.com and take a peek at their message boards, they have a ton of pictures of things people have made.

here is a link to just a few of the things we have made recently:

DON'T DO IT (buy from that infomercial, I mean ;) ) But I do recommend getting the bug, big or little. If you were willing to spend the $250, you can get the little cricut for around $160 and then buy at least 2 or 3 other carts to go with it. Or if you'd think you'd like the bigger one, ACMoore is having a sale (check with your local one if you have it) sometime soon for their Expression bundle (the machine, 4 carts and a set of cricut markers) for $319. My ACM is sale is next week, but others are having their sale this week.

I agree with all the other ladies. You'll never run out of letters (a big plus for me,) you'll always have the color you need, and you can create embellishments all on your own. It is a great little machine!

Thank You ALL very very much... :grouphug:

I'm going to think about it but from what I have seen and heard they are great little machines... Lucky for me.. I never liked the sizzix.. Always looked like more trouble then what it was worth.. I've been to Scrap make and takes at AC Moore and Michaels and tried them there, but never got the real Feel for one..

Oh and I did look at the Forum Board prior to coming here and I was almost sucked in.. :scared1:

Thanks Again !!
