Cricut is retiring cartridges

As part of the Hello Thursday announcement, 4 cartridges were listed as "say farewell too..."

Blackletter, Christmas, Street Sign and Sans Serif

I had been debating what to use my rewards points for, and I quickly ran off and ordered Christmas and Blackletter. I wasn't entirely sure about Blackletter, since it's a font and I have SCAL, but I'd rather have it than not. People on the cricut board were complaining about shipping prices for rewards, but I got both for $10.71 including the $3 handling charge, so I don't know if it was a glitch or I'm just lucky.

You can also use points to pay for shipping. It's 100 points each item, but I found it was worth it, since the items really aren't changing all that often.

Ohhh, I guess I got in on it in time I really wish they would give us more options for "rewards."

Cartridges released since Fall 2008ish contain certificates with reward points. How many depends on if it is a solutions, regular, or licensed cartridge. You can use your points for some cartridges, apparel and other Cricut branded stuff.

I was thinking about the blackletter as well, I don't know if I would use it at all, but I have the points, it might be worth it just to add to the collection (if ya know what I mean ) I got Christmas on ebay for a great deal, and I have street sign, I LOVE it, use it all the time.

I've never used any of my points before and this was a good time to use some!! I already have Blackletter and Christmas as those were the free ones I chose when I got my Gypsy. But, I've been thinking about Street Sign for awhile so I went ahead and got it and while I was there I got ZooBalloo too.

Just a note, the Christmas cart is out of stock now on the rewards site.
