So does anyone have a Cricut Expression? I would love to hear what you think of it. I really want one for Christmas. What is the best/worst of it?

Thanks :)

Another great place to check is the messageboard on cricut.com

I don't know much about it but I saw biglots will have it for under 100$ on thanksgiving it's listed at 180$ at walmart.com! I want one too!

I love mine, tons of fun. You can do a lot more with it than just scarpbooking. It's so easy, my 6yo can do it with minimal supervision.

The big one or the "personal" one? The expression is the larger one.

The big one is normally $300+ so that would be amazing. I guess I should check big lots thanks.

I guess I forgot about the scrapbooking board. Im not a big scrapper but I want it for some other projects and it looks like a lot of fun!

From what I've read on-line Big Lots will have the Create not the Expression. Some are even speculating that it may be refurbished and not new but I don't think that's been confirmed.

My DD has had the Expression for a few years and LOVES it! She's able to cut out larger items to use on bulletin boards at school as well as for scrapbooking. Now, she really wants the Gypsy:scared1:

I think it depends on what you plan to use it for. I bought it for scrapbooking and hated it. Too much work for small items that are being done one at a time. I much prefer my Sizzix for scrapbooking.

However, I brought the cricut into work and my HR dept absolutely loves it. They use it for bulletin boards and they are currently making items that will be used at the Christmas party. I could see where teachers would absolutely love one. I think that it would be great for making invitations, etc. where you would be cutting out repetitive items.

My Walmart also mentioned that the Expression they are selling on Black Friday will be "colored" ones- so blue/ pink/ ect machines vs. just white and grey.

(Not that that matters to me but if you are asking for one and sending DH out you might want to mention what COLOR you would like)
And Yes I am asking for one too!

I love mine! I haven't done much scrapbooking with it - can't seem to find enough time - but it is wonderful for making party invitations and greeting cards.

I have all of the Disney cartridges and have used them to make autograph books and framed art for my kids rooms. My kids love making Mickey and Minnie on the Cricut (with supervision, of course).

I had never even heard of one of these two weeks ago, but I just used one! I was scrapbooking with someone who has one. It was very easy and fun!

Love mine!!! I use it all the time, mostly to make posters for PTO and the kids use it for science projects.

The Walmart black friday is a good deal. And I think they are going to have cartridges on sale too. You can usually get good deals on the carts at Michael's, Joann fabrics, and ACMoore.

I haven't really found any drawbacks except for the size, hard to travel to crops with. But I love everything else about it.

Lots of girls on the scrapbooking forum have one and the cricut boards are a great place to see projects.

Thanks :)

I went to Big Lots yesterday and asked a lady which one it was and she sadi "Hold on a minute come back here" She brought one out and said "This is the one sale on Friday" It is indeed the personal, did not say it was refurbished but it is the smaller one.

Thanks again I asked for the Wallys deal, I dont really care what colour it is, the blue is pretty though :)

JoAnne's, I think, is having cartridges for $28.88 on Black Friday. This is where I go broke, saving money!

I love my expression! I have had for over a year. The best thing I can tell you is to buy a rolling case for it! My DH bought me the lovley rolling case with the retractable handle; it makes transporting it to crops so much easier! My only complaint is that it was so expensive I wish I used it more.

If going to buy one get the E. Biggest and best (At least for now).

I have an expression and I LOVE it! The catridges are expensive(and addictive) but you can get them on sale at Michaels and Joann's but I've also seen them pretty cheap on ebay. My screen has died though and I need to call customer service here since it's still under warranty, don't know what happened:sad1:

If you scrapbook or make cards, then you will love the Expression! It changed my paper crafting life. Walmart will have it for $188, and you will have your choice of colors and it will include two cartridges, including one that has never been released. Cartridges are expensive at retail, but deals can ALWAYS be found. There's really no reason to pay more than about $36 for a cartridge these days, even the newly released ones.

Michael's will have super cheap cartridges tomorrow night and Friday, and cricut.com also has their cartridges on sale - starting today. $36 each and free shipping, with double rewards points if you buy three.

I already have an Expression but I still plan to pick one up on Walmart Friday morning because I really want that black one, plus I want the exclusive cartridge! :thumbsup2

check out the Cricut messageboards. You will find tons of tips and tricks, including things like how to extend the life of your mats so you don't have to keep buying new ones.
