Can you cut different sizes besides what the baby bug can do? (can it cut smaller with the software?)

Yes, you can cut both smaller and larger. There is a slider that you can adjust. The smallest on the slider is 1" and increases in 1/8" increments, but when an image is selected, you can use the option in the lower right of the selection box and shrink the image even more. The letters in the TTA I shrunk down to about .75".

I am trying the trial version even though I have the real version sitting here in a box. Am trying to figure out the shadowing - boy it is tough....thanks for the description but I really need a good cup of tea and about two hours to try and get this to work! Wish I could see a video of you doing what you described!

Since some of you are already playing - I am messing with the trial version and have to find a usb to try the cutting part (I'm starting small...) but I have a question.

I have a regular bug (so 6" max), however it seems that I can design and flip an image to be as large as the mat on here - does this mean I can cut at this size? I've put a sample of what I mean below. If so, how the heck would I ever get the additional pieces to do a large paper piecing to be the right relative size?

This is approx. an 11 inch dale ( I think it's dale - seems like two teeth to me):

Obviously I would need to buy it to use this particular cartridge but I want to see what it can do on the puter first - that's where I'm most comfortable anyway!

allrighty.....I've been playing with the trial version this morning....here's some of my random thoughts on this

* I actually bought the cricut instead of wishblade because I liked the portability of the bug & don't have a laptop to carry around with me

*seems very time consuming to get the weld feature right! (ok maybe I'mjust a complete dork)

* I DO like having all the fonts infront of me & being able to choose without sitting down & looking at each & every one of my 16 boxes

So, I don't know.....I do most of my scrappin on girls weekends.....& that means I'd have to buy a laptop! yikes

Have ALL of you guys just loved it? What am I missing???????
