Cricut cutting system

Does anyone have this system? I noticed it was on sale in the Michael's flyer this weekend. Is it any good??

I have it. I bought it when they first came out for Mothers Day last year. I love it. I havent had any problems with it at all. Great investment.

I have it and love it... I think it is better then the Sizzix because it is more cost effective.

Thanks, I think I will put this on my Xmas list. Do you have other cartridges for it? Do you like the one it came with?

I have two different fonts. I like them both. I got my machine on sale- before Michaels added it to the fine print of the coupon. Then I got my other font once they went on sale.
My LSS have every cartridges, so I have played around with them all- I love being able to cut my own letters.

I love mine too!!!

It comes with George, a basic font with lots of basic shapes (like it, and use it alot). I also use Doodlecharms and Tags, Bags, and Boxes...they are my favorites! My friend has Animal Kingdom. I got to play with it last week...WAY too cute!

As for fonts, I have Teardrop (like it), Jasmine (it's just OK). I also got the Christmas one and it has some cute things too. Now that we can't use coupons on anything, I haven't gotten any new ones. Sure wish I had know when that coupon thing was going to end...

So, DH has my wish list for Christmas... Beyond Birthdays, and Animal Kingdom...

I want one REALLY bad, so I've done a bit of research on price and such.

The machine is on sale at my local A.C.Moore right now - it's $199.99, the cartridges are on sale for $59.99.

QVC has the machine for $259.64 (I *think*, I may be off on the cents), but it comes with the Doddletype cartridge, which is not sold in stores.

I love the things I've seen that have been made with the Cricut - it's on my Christmas list too!

And, I would LOVE it if they came out with a Disney cartridge!

I have one and love it. I haven't used it a TON (yet) but I haven't been scrapping much lately...so I'm sure when I get going again I'll use it alot.

I purchsed mine at Michaels with the 40% coupon just a few months ago. I haven't read the fine print lately so I don't know if it's changed...but they said as long as the machine wasn't on sail I could use the coupon. I've also picked up a couple other fonts with the coupons also.

I just got Jasmine (haven't opened it yet)....I'm wondering why you say it's "Just OKAY"?? I also have tear drop and really like that one.

On my list I have Stamped and All Mixed Up...I'm thinking if Jasmine isn't that great I should go exchange it for one of the other two I really want.

Those are some pertty darn good prices at your LSS. Even with the 40% off coupon the cartrages aren't that cheep. I think I ended up paying around $70 (after tax).

The reason that I'm not that crazy about Jasmine is I thought it would be easier to use. I have found that unless I use the shadow feature, the font is too thin to get of the mat without being ruined. I do like the look of it, and I have used it, but I prefer Teardrop and George.

The new one, Opposites Attract looks like it is going to be really useful too. I asked for that one for Christmas...

As for the coupons, I was told that I can't get my employee discount anymore on ANY Cricut items...not mats, blades...nothing! The coupons say excludes Cricut products now...really stinks!

That does stink. I guess it really was only a matter of time before they did something like that...I'm just gald I was able get mine with the coupon. I don't know what Joanns coupons say now...but I was just able to get the Jasmine cartrigde with their 40% off coupon. I think theres...said it wasn't good on THE Cricut...but didn't say anything about the acessories.

Anyhow...I haven't heard of the "NEW" font you mentioned. Sounds like it could be cool. I'm also thinking I will take Jasmine back and get the All Mixed Up. I really wanted that one more anyways...and I've heard other negative things about how hard Jasmine is to use.
