I tried to post this earlier but I dont know what happened but her I try again.

I called this morning to inquire about a crib vs. a pack-n-play. Our 2 yr old is still in a crib and is tall so I dont think he will fit in a PnP. I was told from the CM that they do not have ANY cribs at all in any of the hotels on Disney property. But they can get a PnP or bed rails. I can call a local medical rental place and pay for a rental. How convient is that of Disney. The Cm did say that they can not endorse one place or another but that there were three that could help me out. :tilt:
I asked her why did they change - because of the space of storage. But they arent as comfortable as a crib. I told her to imagine taking all the beds out of all the resorts and replacing them with an inflatable matress. Not as comfortable. I am just disappointed.

Now I need to find out how long a pack-n-play is to see if he is even going to fit in it.

I'm really sorry to read about your crib/pack n'play frustration. I have a two year old DD. Of course at home she does not use her pack n'play anymore, but from the day she was born, she has always felt more comfortable and even sleeps better and longer in a pack n'play. My DD is very tall for her age, but she still fits into a pack n'play. By the end of the day at DW I think she is too exhausted to care less where she sleeps. I really hope someone on this board will be able to tell you how long/wide a pack n'play really is. Good luck and sorry I was of no help at all really.

I am with you here, with the amount of people that visit with children that need cribs, they should have them!

The Swan / Dolphin give a crib, we got one when we stayed last Christmas. That was a selling point for us this year too, we will stay there again this year.

My DS slept in the pack n' play when he was about 22 months and it was fine. I don't know the exact measurements but they are pretty much the standard size. DS was so tired at the end of the day I think he could have slept on the floor and he wouldn't care.

Also, I don't know where you are staying but the values don't have room for a full crib and even the moderates would probably be way too tight.

This is one of the reasons I am seriously looking at POR-the rooms in Alligator Bayou have a trundle bed. My 28 month old daughter still sleeps in her crib, too. We just put up the pack-n-play because she wouldn't fit in it any more. I think she'll sleep better on trundle. At least, I would feel better that there wasn't much room for her to fall!

You can always rent a crib at www.abbf.com we will rent a toddler bed from them when we go at the end of the month. I have only read good reviews about them here on the DISboards.

Last year we got a crib at the Royal Pacific hotel in the Universal Studios, but it was a metal one and wasn´t full size. I felt dd was safer at a Pack n Play that in that flimsy crib.
