Today I called member services to book rooms at Hilton Head. The man I spoke with asked the age of my daughter and when I told him 7 months he asked if I would like a full size crib. I said yes and then asked if I could also get one at OKW for the week that we had already booked and he said yes, they are available. I had thought that only pack n' plays were provided so I was going to rent a full size crib from an outside company. Now I guess I don't have to but I was just wondering if anyone else has gotten the full size cribs at OKW? Apparently it is not guaranteed like any other request but will be noted that I have requested one. Also, has anyone requested one and then not gotten one upon arrival?

I've gotten a full size crib for ds in the past at OKW (he's now 4). It was full size and all metal - looked like a hospital crib. Not very warm and inviting but it was big enough to do the job:rolleyes: After the first trip when ds was 7mos we requested a full size on the next 2 trips and each time were told that they were doing away with the full size cribs and switching to the pak-n-plays. At 7mos. it wouldn't have been a big deal but at almost 2yrs the pak-n-play was just too small. We got a full size on our 2nd trip since that first one when he was 7mos but on that 3rd trip when we really needed it, was not able to get one. I think they still have them but they are few and far between and on a first come first serve basis. They won't guarantee them. If you do decide to chance it and luck out in getting the full size one they provide, you may want to bring your own fitted sheet though as they only provide regular sheets that you have to tuck in under the mattress. Personnally, I'm going to rent one from www.abbf.com for our tirp next month for our dd. But you may luck out in getting one if you want to try for it.

My 1 year old looks big to me. He is 31-33 inches long and 23-24 pounds. He fits in the DVC pack and plays. They are larger than the one we have at home. Atleast the ones at HHI are larger. THe sheet for the pad does not quite fit. a full size crib would be nice as you would not have to bend all the way down to put to sleep. But my baby fits with room to roll around. I have been three times since he was born and they have not asked me if I wanted a crib. So I did not know that was even an option.

Thank you. I think after hearing this I am also going to rent from A baby's best friend. I didn't have a good feeling about it after I spoke with member services. I don't like the idea that it is not guaranteed and from the sounds of it, if we were lucky enough to get a full size crib, it doesn't sound like it would be the most desirable one. This way I will know from the start that the baby will be comfortable and we will all be able to enjoy our vacation.

I don't think the MS knows what he is taliking about regarding OKW.

Pa@okw95, That's the feeling I'm getting, too. I actually went onto abbf.com this afternoon and ordered a crib, so I guess now I just need to call MS back and cancel the full size crib request. It will be interesting to see what they say - maybe they won't know what I'm talking about!
