Crib rental....

We have used A Baby's Best Friend, and they have been reliable and relatively clean. Don't use Frostys'- they were rather yucky!

We have used A Baby's Best Friend, also. I didn't use the bedding though. I brought her sheet and blanket from home.

We are going to bring our own bedding too. And since we're driving we're bringing the crib mattress as well.

We used a baby's best friend as well once. While they were clean I was not happy with them and probably would nto use them again.

I had a 5 month old so we ordered a crib, bounce set and exosaucer. The issue that we had was with the crib. When we received it, the mattress was barely a mattress. Very soft. If you leaned it against the wall it would fold in half. Secondly, when the mattress was in the crib there was a large gap between the mattress and the side rail. Was afraid that if my DD rolled into it she would not be able to get out.

I called them the next morning since when we got to the room and set it up, it was very late. The person I spoke to insisted there was no issue with the crib or mattress and in fact all mattress were only about 1 year old. Find that hard to believe.

I just asked if I could return the crib and rent something else. First they would let me return the crib since there were no refunds. When I said I was fine with paying for the crib but could I just exchange it for a rocking chair instead. The rocking chair was cheaper. I didn't want the difference. Was basically going to pay more for the rocking chair just didn't want to pay for a crib that I return PLUS a rocking chair. Took about 20 minutes of arguing before they agreed.

When I made the original reservation I stated that I was doing a split stay. Unfortunately Disney does not tell you that they will only move luggage during a split stay. BBF did not inform me when I made the reservation that I would have to move the crib and other items from one resort to another. When I called to ask them to move it they refused. I would have to return all the items and rent them again. Would have been nice if they told me this when they saw my reservation and saw they would drop off at OKW and pick up at BLT. I was lucky that we rented a car and was able to barely squeeze everything in and move it myself. If we did DME we would have been in trouble.

Hopefully I was the odd ball case and others have had better experiences then mine.

I always use Orlando Crib Rentals. Clean, excellent quality bedding and mattresses (including spare sheet). You won't need to bring your own. She delivers right to your room and sets it up.

I second Orlando Crib Rentals. I actually wrote a review on this board about them. They were great, the crib and mattress were high quality and they come and set it up for you.

We have used A Baby's Best Friend twice now for a crib, once while staying on property (2009) and once while staying off property (2010). I have to say, I was less impressed the second time around with them.

The first time we used them, the crib seemed almost brand new and the mattress was very firm.

The second time, the crib was more beat up (still clean and safe though) and the mattress was much much softer (again, still clean and in good shape). I wasn't too concerned about the mattress because DD was 15 months old at the time, but if I had a real little one, I might have been more concerned.

Thanks to the poster who stated you have to move all the items yourself when doing a split stay. We are doing a split stay for the first time on our upcoming trip and I was worried that this would be the case.

We have used ABBF for years now and never experienced anything like the posters above. Quite the opposite, actually.

Disney bells services transfered our crib and other rental items with our luggage twice during split stays. I don't understand the issues you had. They told me they do it all the time.

The staff at ABBF has always been friendly and accomodating, and I ask a ton of questions before each trip. I am sure they get the same ones over and over and over, but you could not tell they do. Always very polite and informative, I can tell they care about their customers. I am sorry your had less than stellar experience.

Highly recommended for items of high quality and cleanliness. 5x renter now and never disappointed.
