Last year we stayed at the VWL and were able to get a metal crib for our grandchild. Does anyone know if the metal cribs are available at Vero and Boardwalk? What about bed rails? Thanks!
We just got back from VB tonight. We had our 20 month old grandson there and the pack-n-play was to small for him. VB does NOT have any cribs or guard rails. We called a local company to deliver and set up the crib for us after the second day. I think it was around $67 for the week to rent the crib............but it was well worth it.
BWV has a limited number of cribs available. They are stainless steel and standard size and are "first come first serve". My son requested one when he made his reservation and it was in their room when they arrived. From other posts though, getting a crib is not a given.
Bed rails are available at both VB and BWV's. As far as the crib - they tell me everytime I've requested a full size crib at OKW that they no longer are available and they just have the pak-n-plays. That being said, I have managed to get a full size one but it's been hit or miss and I never know until check-in I think I'm going to rent one for my Sept. stay at A baby's best friend. I've heard really good things about them and then I don't have to worry about getting a full size one. Plus the crib is much nicer. check it outwww.ABBF.com They will have the crib brought over and set up at any of the resorts at the park - as for VB you may want to find out the local company's name and check them out.
Be sure to pack a fitted crib sheet. The cribs provided by the resort use a flat sheet that is tucked under the crib mattress. I'm a nervous nelly and am always afraid my DD will wrapped up in it and smother herself so I pack one every time. I'd also pack a fitted pack n' play sheet, too. The ones in the room do not have them. If they run out of regular cribs before you get there, you'll be happy to have it for the room pack n' play, too.
