Hi,

I have just seen Crescent Cove on the disney web site under reception venues. It says the guest count can be 2-45 does anyone know the F&B minimums or rental costs here? I have searched the passporter book and the search on disboards and have found nothing! :confused3

I thought this would be a nice place for a basic buffet lunch?

i would ask your consultant. They should be able to tell you about any minimums and rental fees.

Im not at that stage yet, I cannot get married until October 2013. Im still costing it out, to figure out a rough budget. It intrested me as i've heard nothing about it.

i looked through the docs my consultant sent me and i dont see it listed in there anywhere, so it must be super new. I'll look at the rest of my stuff when I get home and see if I have anything that mentions it in there.

Ooooh thats intresting I thought I had just overlooked it before but maybe it is really new!!!!!

This has a little information about it...

(not sure why the link doesn't work when i write it normally so excuse all the spaces)

(ditto to this link too)

A map of Yacht Beach Club...

The following guidelines apply for all Disney outdoor venues:
-No amplified entertainment allowed
-There are specific guidelines for showcasing wedding cakes
-Disney characters are not available
-Ambient noise, including watercraft horn signals, may be a factor during events

They don't have specifics on Crescent Cove in the Venues Guideline they sent me but I'm guessing it would be along the lines of Sago Cay Pointe at the GF.

Sago Cay Pointe Venue Guidelines
-Venue available for buffet style breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert parties
-Food and beverage minimum of $500 for dessert parties and $1,000 for any other reception event (exclusive of wedding cake, service charges, and sales tax).
-Maximum capacity is 75
-Mixture of 5 cocktail tables, 5 tallboys, or 2 rounds of ten can be used in this venue
-Capacity does not reflect 100% seating
-Venue uses existing lighting
-Additional fees apply if the Wishes audio soundtrack is requested.
-Be aware that ambient noise, including watercraft horn signals, may be a factor during event

Hope that helps! Also you can call Disney Weddings and just ask them. They would be happy to answer questions.

Thank you Tifa this is great  - from the photos and the map it looks like this venue is the other side of the shipwreck from shipwreck beach. not, as I first thought, a portion of shipwreck beach.

I did not think disney would talk to me as my wedding is not for 2 yrs? but its so hard to even get a rough budget when DFTW are so cagey online about costs/menus etc. Especially as im on the boarder cost wise between a Wishes and Escpape Wedding

Crescent Cove is not often recommended for use, which is probably why it took them so long to add it to the virtual venue tour on the website. Apparently it is better suited to a cocktail hour than a reception or a ceremony because it is so small, and there have been issues with the noise from Stormalong Bay/the Marina.

Capacity: 60 for cocktails/buffet, 100 for reception
Food & Beverage Minimums: $900 in the daytime and $1,000 at night

Nighttime events are required to pay for a lighting package, usually starting at around $3,000. (There is no power at the venue.)

Using Crescent Cove as a ceremony site would incur the same $2,000 venue fee found at most other locations.

Thanks for the info.... When I saw the map I thought it may not be used due to the noise - it looks like its literally across the path from SAB.

I was looking at it as a possible area to have a lunch buffet ... I dont think I could use it as a cocktail hour as there is only 10 of us and one does not drink. making it $100 in cocktails each :scared1:- I dont think we would make the DP
