Credits on Deluxe plan?

We have the deluxe plan for the 1st 4 nights of trip (Art of Animation resort) and from the menu of their food court I can tell that DS4 will LOVE the create-your-own pasta, however I believe this is an adult meal. So my question is, are dining plan credits for CS meals on the deluxe plan differentiated between adult/child or can a child order from the adult menu? I know at TS restaurants he will have to order from the child's menu but am wondering if different for counter service/deluxe plan? Thanks.

I though that even at a CS location under 9 must order a child's selection?? I thought the general rule was that if there's a kid's menu, under 9 has to order from it. Maybe not?

From what I understand reading on here they have no way to differentiate between kid/adult at the CS places.
