Just curious, if anyone has done this. We are renting out fil house in another state. The lawyer there is doing the lease for us. He has gotten the renters ss# and drivers liscense and they are signing a form to give us legal permission to do a credit check. The lawyer said he doesnt want to do it and we should. I really dont know how to go about this. Can I do this for someone other than ourselves etc. Need advice. Can I do it over the internet, go to a bank etc. Our cousin says he can do it through a collection agency he deals with for his business, but I dont want him knowing our renters business, he is such a snoop and nosy busy buddy etc. I have to get it done soon etc. Help. Thanks.

Another solution would be to have them run their own credit report (they can do this online) and send you the report.

Credit reports are dated so you would be able to see that it was a current one.

Good luck!
