Credit for remaining days on PH pass toward AP?

Unless Disney makes changes with the new MYW tickets, no, only Guest Services can issue APs.

I'm actually looking to use the credit toward 10-day MYW tix, not APs. Can the resorts do that, or do I still have to go to the park? I know the resorts sell tickets, I'm just curious if they can do the credit on the PH.

Sorry to be a pest about this - just trying to clarify as much as possible. I appreciate all of the detailed info. :D

All ticket upgrades have always been limited to Guest Services at the theme parks and DD.

Okay - next question :D . How late is Guest Services at DD open? We arrive 8 pm Saturday night, so it would be nice to do the upgrade then rather than the next morning. Also, where is it located in DD? Thanks!

I wasn't aware you could do this...? Can you apply PH remaining days to the MYW tix, including no expiration and PH options?

On another thread, someone mentioned that there is a Guest Services at each resort. If that's true, can they scan and credit my PH tix there?

Technically, the resorts do not verify what is remaining on tickets, but they can (if they want to). Once while checking in I saw a lonely CM at another counter and she was more than happy to take my handful of partially used hoppers and verify what was left on them.

WDW previously allowed guests to get credit for an old PHP toward the purchase of a new PHP. Everything I've read indicates they will be doing the same for the new passes.

Rash: I don't know the exact hours. The office is kinda hard to find. Look at one of the posted DD maps when you arrive and it will be much easier to navigate. It's right near the middle of the Marketplace section of DD.

Regarding your pass situation in general, just remember that in trading in your old pass you will only get credit for a pro-rated share of the original purchase price of the pass. Furthermore, if you purchased the ticket from a vendor other than Disney, you will not get credit for the 10-15% markup that the vendor applied (which represents the vendor's profit.) Disney will scan the pass and immediately know the EXACT price at which the ticket was sold when you originally obtained it.

Since ticket prices continue to increase, you're often getting credit for day at an older rate and then exchanging them for a new pass with days priced at a higher rate.

And, if the ticket is a Park Hopper PLUS with any Plus features remaining, you will get ZERO credit for any of the Plus features.

If you know about how much you paid for the old ticket, try to determine how much credit Disney will give you. Then compare the costs of upgrading to the 10-day MYW with the cost of just keeping your existing passes and buying a 7-day MYW. I know that they 10-day MYW tends to be a great deal, so it may still be in your best financial interest to upgrade. But at least spend a few minutes running the numbers before you commit.

Good luck.

As I figure it, there is about a $57 difference between the 7-day an 10-day MYW PH no expiry tix. I have 2 days left on my PH tix for which I paid a little over $200 through AAA. I figure minimum I should get $25/day, probably more. So buying the 10-day using the credit get's me an extra day vs. using the 2 days and buying the 7 day. Is my reasoning sound?
