Credit cards

Just so you know, this wasn't always the case, even as recently as the 90s. Disney was a real @##$#@$#@ with credit cards so the multiple question marks are kind of rude and really not necessary for someone asking a question.

I don't think the previous poster was trying to be rude, so there is no need to be rude in return. All major U.S. credit cards are accepted at DLR, there are ATMs (Chase), and there is currency exchange at City Hall and Chamber of Commerce. As for international credit cards, I know for sure that JCB cards are accepted, but am not certain about other cards. If there is a specific card that you are wondering about, email guest services to make sure your card will be accepted.

MasterCard, VISA, and American Express have been accepted since at least the 70s. They also accept Discover Card and Diners Club. Debit cards with the MC/Visa logo are accepted.

Their answer was sarcastic, there's no other way to read the ellipses, multiple question marks and the fact they answered in the form of a question instead of answering, then told them to check the official website which is completely ridiculous on this site because almost any question asked here can be answered somewhere else but it's the point of the site to help our fellow board members :).

It's not a big deal, but let's be respectful here and in no way was I being disrespectful or rude.

I was a bit surprised at the question to be honest too, so no one was being rude in their reaction. Suggesting a person check with another website where they can find the exact information needed is not rude. It's wise, because not everyone knows all of the cards and of course this information could change since someone was last there.

I know our Canadian cards are accepted. And it seems like the U.S. has finally discovered the CHIP technology so looking forward to that!

NO it was not sarcastic just 3 question marks because I was not completely sure. AND yes, check the website for the most accurate information.
Do NOT make assumptions or read into what others say.......I'll stop there!

My Australian Visa card and MasterCard Debit card were both accepted back in September. I was a bit taken aback though at not being allowed to use my pin number, as here in Australia, it's all mostly pin number or paywave, signing is pretty much obsolete.

There's a sign next to the registers that has logos for Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, Diner's Club and JCB. They don't take Apple Pay or any mobile payment at DLR.

I believe I was able to Applepay at 1 or 2 places... But I can't remember for sure. At Off site Disney Stores, they have implemented it, and I remember seeing enabled machines while I was there--just can't remember if I actually paid that way or not.

They have it at WDW, but there hasn't been any news about it moving to DLR. I thought I remembered someone saying they'd started it, but I searched Google, this board and Reddit and I only found people asking if they've used it. I specifically asked at 2 different registers and was told no.

Right, no Applepay in the DL parks yet. When they implemented it at WDW, news articles at the time reported that Applepay would come to DL in 2015. Well, they obviously didn't get that done. I do recall a thread not too long ago when someone reported spotting some new readers at some locations around the park, and many of us speculated that these could be in preparation for Applepay.
