Credit card to hold reservations?

Has Disney started doing this? I am assuming that my reservations for Jan are fine as they did not require a credit card when I did the bookings 6 months ago. Is this correct?

You will be fine. The cc guarantee started for any ADR's made on or after Nov 26th. Any ADR made before that time isn't subject to the cc guarantee.

Just to clarify, it is not for all ADR's just for those on the "list"...

Here's the list. And it was any ADRs made after Oct. 26, so as long as you made your ADRs before that (and you don't cancel and rebook any of them), you won't have to guarantee them with a credit card.

Yes, I was a bit confused about this as well. We've just returned from WDW and none of our ADRs were held with a credit card and all went perfectly.

Basically it is any reservation made or changed on or after October 26, 2011, for any signature restaurant or character dining.
