I cancelled our package when we decided to get AP's and booked RPR with the Ap rate.
It's been 3 weeks and my credit card has not been refunded. I called and checked the other day and after putting me on hold forever the rep came back and said to give it another week.
A month for a credit card refund? Really?
I happened to cancel our Disney room that same day and they refunded the same card within 5 days.
Has anyone else had this issue?

I find that the hotel refunds quite quickly, within a couple of days. Don't know about the travel agency though--and that would be who you are dealing with if you had a package.

I had the same thing happen to me last year. After 3 weeks I called and spoke to a supervisor who told me my refund was overlooked and apologized. I received my refund the next day.

Hmmmm.. Interesting. I think I will call and ask for a supervisor tomorrow. This rep put me on hold for at least 15 minutes and came back with "sometimes it takes up to four weeks."

Even at the time I had the very strong sense that they didn't have any answer for me and that when they went to check it had never been put through in the first place.:rolleyes1
Really it took 15 minutes to find out it takes 4 weeks? Not likely.

last october, i had a refund issued to my cc on oct 11th.
on my dec 5th cc statement, the refund was on it then.

the reason it took that long was due to my billing cycle.
my cc company didn't process it for november, they told me it overlapped.
i saw the credit when i checked it online.

i wasn't concerned about the time frame.
i knew it would show up sooner or later.

My concern is that a refund from Disney that was issued on the exact same day ( I hung up with one place and called the other) showed up in 5 days. So at this point I am thinking it wasn't processed at all on Universals end.
Plus, it's seven hundred dollars so I'll feel better when it's back. If it was a small amount I wouldn't be as worried.
I'm sure it will show up, I just think a month is a little silly.

I just cancelled my package today and was told it'll take 2-3 weeks to refund as well. Thanks for the heads up, I'll make sure to check it within the timeframe!

one time it took disney 2 months to issue my refund.
so i know how anxious you are when it comes to getting that credit.

Both Disney and Universal can take UP TO a Billing cycle to process refunds..I charged my Disney deposit for August 2012 in early December...I JUST got it back 2 days ago,So it was 2 months till it went thru. You can call to be certain, but it can take awhile.Universal also just processed my Hotel bill from Jan 22nd( the charge just went through yesterday)

The refund was on my card yesterday.:)
I suppose it could be coincidence, but I am more inclined to believe that like mrs09chris in this thread, it had never been processed. Only because after calling a second time and being put on hold for 15 minutes it was there 2 days later. Either way, I'm just glad it's back now:)

I've been waiting over a month on a credit for a charge on January 16. I didn't make any calls, though. I just reported it disputed on my Amex on line account. I don't have to pay it now, nor will I have to. That is assuming it will be resolved in my favor.
