Credit Card hold when checking in?

When checking into a disney resort and giving a credit card to add to the reservation for charging does Disney place a "hold" of like $100-300 like many other hotels do?

It's so bizarre that they don't!! I've never been to a hotel before where you don't even have to GIVE a credit card when checking in! But no, no hold when you do.
