Credit card hold required at BWI resort check in?

Once you pay the balance of your room reservation at check in will BWI put a hold on your credit card for incidentals and room charging privileges or only if you request it? What is the minimum that you must put on hold for room charging privileges?

Disney resorts do not require a cc for incidentals. You only have to leave a cc on file if you want room charging privileges. The cc will be swiped to make sure it's a good card, but no amount will be held against it at that time. Once the charge limit is reached ($1500 at deluxe resorts), your cc will automatically be charged for the total amount and then your KTTW card resets for further charging. If you want room charging but want to pay the charges a different way other than with the cc on file (cash, gift cards, etc), you can request a print out as often as you like and pay those charges anyway you want without it hitting your cc (as long as that's done prior to reaching the $1500 limit). Just want to add 1 thing to the fantastic info:
If you have a CC on file but you want to pay your balance off with cash, gift cards, or another credit card, be sure to do so before midnight of the evening before your scheduled check-out. Disney clears all balances the evening BEFORE you check-out, so any issues could be handled before you leave.
