Hi Everyone! I have been a member here for a long time, mostly just reading trip reports and dining reviews - but I finally booked a trip for my daughter and I in October. I am currently making ADR's and noticed a charge on my bank account for WDW - other in the amount of $130.00. I reserved a breakfast at 1900 Park Faire and dinner at Akershus, am I being charged for this ahead of time? I understood the credit card guarantee to mean I wouldn't be charged unless we didn't show up, and then it would be $10 per person. If I am being charged in advance, will I get that back when we are there? We will be on the regular dining plan. Thank you!!

The $10 CC guarantee is only charged if you cancel less than a day before or don't show up for your reservation.

The only restaurants that charge ahead of time (prepaid) are Cinderella's Royal Table and the Dinner Shows (such as Hoop De Doo, the Luau and Mickey's Backyard BBQ). Neither Akershus or 1900 park faire are prepaid meals. So this $130 must be for something else.

Did you book a room only hotel reservation? $130 sounds like a reasonable down payment for a room booking. The down payment for room only reservation is a one night stay (usually the highest night of your stay).

Thanks for your reply! I didn't book room only, so it's not that. Could it be MNSSHP tickets? That's the only thing outside of the trip package that I purchased. The actual charge was 127.40, I just rounded up.

Yes, you pay for MNSSHP tickets when you book.
