Credit card dining cash rewards

Hi all, Headed to WDW next week and I want to collect the maximum cash back. Will any of my dining purchases (especially the ones I pay for with my magic band) be recognized as dining purchases by my CC company or do I need to actually use my card at the restaurant??

The transactions will still show at the location you made them on your statement.

Paying with magic band will charge it to your room & then it'll be a hotel charge.

If you want the maximum cash back, you'll have to use the card at sit down locations. Ordering through the app for quick service should come through as a restaurant charge though.

When I used mobile ordering (Aloha Isle and Columbia Harbour House), the charges went directly to my card and appeared as dining. It charges to your card on file with MDE.

Your magic band isn't a credit card. You link an existing credit card to the magic band and that is where items charged will appear.
