Creative Memories advice needed

I ended up signing up to be a CMC! How could I turn down goods with a retail value of £190 (and that's not including stuff like CMC agreements which you need for the business but no-one would buy :goodvibes ) for £95 :cheer2:

I should get my kit in a couple of days (I hope so, I want my new toys NOW :Pinkbounc ) and then the CMC is going to help me put through my party as my first demo to get me started. My Thanks to You gift was a journal box stencil/template, plus two page makers (a journal box and 3 stickers in each with ideas for layouts). PLUS for signing up I got a deco pack in a cute box (retail £10).

I'm not going to go potty with classes here there and everywhere, but two of my friends who were there said they'd love a workshop once a month, so I'll porbably host I daytime and one evening workshop a month and take it from there. As you only need to do £150 retail per quarter (and I can spend THAT myself :rolleyes1 ) I'm hoping my scrapping will pay for itself. It won't, of course, but I'm still hoping

If any of you have any freinds in North Kent send them my way

Congratulations joining our CMC ranks! :)

If you ever have any questions, feel free to drop me a line.

my goodness....how wonderful for you. I have been thinking about doing it for about a year.....glad you took the plunge!!!

Woo hoo! That's great that she's letting you take over your own class. There are several of us here to help if you need. Good luck!

I've got my new toys and did a couple of pages yesterday to get my demo album started. I've added a few bits to my party order for myself  and apparently they've got a £1 offer every night - I've sent my e-mail address but not had any notifications yet.

Only thing is of course - now what do i do with my non-CM grab bags from e-bay :guilty:

Just use them in albums you don't plan to demo.

I've got a feeling there'll be plenty of albums coming..

Hopefully I'll be able to spend.....er..... sell enough to get the start-up gifts then I can sort all my papers out of their folders.

Trouble is I'm on Jury Service straight after New Year which will cramp my style a bit :sad2:

Don't get yourself into trouble by go into debt to get the 30/60/90 gifts. I got the 30 and 60 when I started with show orders. I let the last one go because I did not make it. I know other former consultants that just put the rest on their credit card and they are still paying off the debt!! Also, try to keep things in stock that you would want, like tape runners, refills, page protectors, albums. Be careful with the pens(they change),stickers (they change often and you will get stuck), cutting tools (you will never need two heart punches, etc), and paper(especially the limited editions). Obviously if you end up with a thriving business you will want to eventually stock that stuff but at the beginning stick with things you know that you will use if you ever stop. Just my thoughts!

I couldn't agree more! I am no longer a CMC and I got incredibly lucky that my upline bought or traded product for most of the things I didn't want or couldn't use once I went innactive. I did get "stuck" with some unwanted/out dated stickers and seasonal papers, but nothing too bad. I have a HUGE stock of ABC stickers, but I know I will use them over time. The same goes for the tape runners, page refills and page protectors...if you love scrapping, you're always going to need those things. I hear its a bit easier to remain active within the company via the new buying guidelines so best of luck to you! I really wish I would have had the network of women friends to stay a CMC, but I was always my best buying customer!
