Creative Block...help

Please let me pick your brains...As I have previously mentioned, DF and I are getting married (secretly) on DCL this August. I'd like to have some wedding announcements prepared for when we get back, to give to family members and close friends. I don't think we'll be having an "At home reception". For the life of me, I cannot come up with something creative (and Disney) to use for announcements.

What if you do a picture announcement of the two of you from your wedding day?

Or you could take an image and upload it to vistaprint.com and make postcards. There is a lot of disney clip art available. DISigns forum has lots of people who will help create you a design to put on there.

Also, there is a website that has inexpensive Disney invites. I used some of them for my kids' birth announcements, and I have seen other DISbrides use them. The website is tcwdesigns.com

They have all the princesses, Mickey & Minnie, toy store, and so much more!

We're thinking after our VR, we'll send out holiday cards with a picture from the VR on a magnet. HTH!

I bought some Disney stamps and stickers and I am making my own wedding anouncements. We are getting married at WDW on September 16 and we are planning on mailing the announcements from WDW.

On the boat they can take your favorite picture and make it into a greeting card. I forget how many days your cruise is, but if you are on the 7 day you could mail them from one of the ports.

I just made REALLY cute postcards announcing our new wedding date on Snapfish. Everyone LOVES them.

I just made the front of the postcard a photo of us and I was able to write on the back on their website. I'll post photos of it on my PJ later when I get home.

They're cheaper than notecards. It think it was $0.89 a postcard or something. We ordered 60 of them.

It'd be cute if you took a picture of you guys on the cruise, wedding day (and I'm SURE you'll have pictures to choose from) and that was the front! Maybe take a sign with you that says "SURPRISE! We Eloped..." with the date?

You'll see what I mean when I post what we did.

I would use the picture from DCL as a postcard

I used KodakGallery for our cards. There is a release you can print out and take to Target ..here is the link.

You could do something like this too..I took a picture and printed it on card stock with a vellum overlay for the words and tied with raffia.

What I was thinking of doing for our parents, is getting each of them a digital photo frame keychain, and uploading our wedding pictures onto it...

they are photo cards like you get at Christmas..My friends send them out each year when they cruise. They have several styles to choose from..Some with the ship in the background, some with characters.

I think it would be cheaper to do them at Target thru Kodak..just use the release I posted and they will print any picture the ship takes.
