Crazy line at 4:00 for MVMCP?

Just wondering if there is usually a really huge line to get in at 4:00 for MVMCP? How early would you suggest we be there and in line?

I'd like to know as well. Also, I've heard sometimes they open the gates for the party around 3:45pm sometimes? What's the pattern so far for this (MNSSHP) year?

We have only attended one MVMCP...last Dec at a sold-out party...and I did not think the line was crazy at 4pm. We were there at about 3:40'ish, they only let us in a couple mins early but we were in the park by 4:05.

ETA: The wrist band is the longest step lol. There were 8 of us and it took a bit cause we were all wearing jackets. We had a 3:15-4:15 FP+ and we made it to that just fine.

It looks bad, but it doesn't really take all that long to get through. We got there a little after they opened for the party (and the lines had actually gone down), got our party wristband (this is probably the longest step), and to our 3:30-4:30 FP+ at 7DMT at 4:12 according to my phone pic.

We've attended multiple parties (MVMCP and MNSSHP) and usually visit one park in the morning and then use the hard ticket as a 'virtual hopper.' I always get there around 3:30 p.m. because we've always been let in before 4:00 p.m. There's usually only a few dozen people waiting around, the CMs get everyone lined up when they're ready to start taking tickets. YMMV.

For one of our MNSSHPs a couple of weeks ago, we had an ADR at BOG at 4:30. We spent the morning at the MK, went back to the resort to change into costumes and got back to MK about 3:45 or 3:50. The lines were huge at the party gates. We entered the non party gates with no wait and then went back and got our MNSSHP bands in Fantasyland with no line. We thought we might have to wait until after dinner, but they were already scanning bands/tickets and handing them out when we walked back there on the way to dinner. If you are entering with just a party ticket and want to be in the park close to 4:00 when the gates open, I would think that you want to be there by 3:30.

Add: Just FYI this was on a sold out MNSSHP day.

I agree it may look like a lot but it goes by quickly we usually try to get there at 4 and never waited longer than 5-10 mins

Both times I have been to parties lately they started letting us in at 3:45. I got to MNSSHP about 3:20 and was first in line.

You will be fine at 5pm...... The past two parties we also entered MK to the Right and got there around 3:30...
