Crazy inconsiderate parents

I was a scout leader for years. I feel your pain! Loved all the kids but didnt always tolerate some of thier idiot parents too well! Sounds like a great party and I bet the kids had a ball!:thumbsup2

Get any pictures of the horse that was dressed up?

i DO! Just gotta get 'em loaded up to my photobuycket account and then I'll share with everyone! Thanks for all the commiseration guys!

The other day, DH and I take DS to Wallyworld to buy some new shirts and a new pair of shoes. As we are walking through the parking lot to go inside, we notice an SUV that is idling with the keys in the ignition with a small (say about 4-5)boy strapped into his car seat asleep. We go to take a closer look and see that his older brother (maybe 10 or 11) is ALSO asleep in the back seat of the car. I urge DH to call the police, but he says maybe the parents only went in for five minutes and, against my better judgement, I agree with him.

Half an hour later, we come back out and they are STILL in there.:scared1: I take DS to the car and DH goes back inside to speak to store security. He comes back out with a security guard fifteen min later and just as they get to the SUV, here come the parents. The mom is actually running towards the SUV because she sees DH and the security guard standing next to her car. Her DH is trailing her with two carts of groceries. DH decides to let the security guard handle it and walks away. He tells me later he wanted to really say something to the parents of those two boys but didn't. I'm sure the security guard gave them a stern talking to though.

My DS9 gets mad that I won't let him stay in the car, but I always tell if I do, I will go to jail and don't know what will happen to him. But I really don't want to take the chance, he's a cute kid!

This happens at school events all the time. We have activity nights, dances, field trips, etc., that end at designated times. We often have children who aren't picked up for hours after an event ends. A teacher has to stay with them, of course. It's awful for them and for us.
