Crazy high airfares--am I better off waiting??

If you are able to fly out the night before, American has a one-stop for $379 rt/person. Arrive at 8:30 PM, spend the night at the airport, and take DME to WDW the next morning!

Yep--I nabbed this one! Got it on a Kayak alert this morning and went for it. I checked the price of the MCO hotel and found it was the same as a night at Art of Animation, which my DD wants to see anyway, so just got off the phone adding a single night stay at AA to the reservation. Thanks all for your advice! Now, I'm deleting my Kayak alert so I don't hear about it if fares go down!!

Still checking and hoping. I found a good deal on our departure but not the return. Probably because we are wanting to fly back on a Saturday

We had the same problem from Northwest Arkansas to MCO. We found tickets with Alligant Airlines for $455 total with bags and Round trip shuttle to our Disney Hotel. The flight alone was $350 so I was OK with the extra costs....more than what we wanted but I can live with it.

I think that you should keep an eye on kayak. I have a family of four going in March (from California) and that's what we kept doing. I created an alert but when prices were low I caught them by looking myself, for some reason my alert didn't alert me.

I made an effort to check every morning while I had my coffee. Rates had been around $400 for so long that I had given up hope and stopped checking as frequently. One night I pulled it up on my ipod and rates were $240...I couldn't buy them fast enough.

Those rates were for in the middle of the week & only lasted for about two days. Keep looking they change so frequently...good luck!
