crazy early closing times for 3 weeks in may?

greetings...

forgive me if this has been asked and answered (i googled quite a bit first) but i have a fairly serious concern about our upcoming universal trip...

we're arriving on a wednesday night and leaving that same sunday afternoon. i will have been in disney for the five days prior with my mother--i'm meeting my husband at royal pacific resort for four nights at universal. the dates are may 11th through the 15th. upon looking at the park hours, however, i found that the parks close at 7pm that wednesday, thursday, and saturday (US--IoA is open until 9 that saturday); they both close at 5pm on friday.

so my question obviously is--what is up with that? both parks are open until 8 or later for all of april, and at the end of may. grad bash isn't during our trip (trust me--i checked. we are both teachers, so a vacation with thousands of high school students simply is NOT a vacation! )

should i be concerned? upset? i am both. because while we're ok with spending our evenings in city walk, i realize that's all that's available for EVERYONE staying there--and thus it will be crazy crowded. we're paying a LOT of money to stay on site, and i'm beyond not thrilled at this point. any thoughts?

No worrys mate.They are only predicting lower crowd levels at that time.Easter falls in late April,so after that crowds calm down till summer break around the 1'st or 2'nd week of June.

ok...so early close is a good thing? if so, that's good. we're early risers AND night owls, so long as we have a pool break in the middle of the day. the plan was park opening until maybe noon-ish, pool all afternoon, nap, then out to city walk for dinner and drinking (and maybe singing? i'm all about the karaoke place!) as long as city walk won't be mobbed with angry people who thought they'd be at the parks until late, i'm fine with that. here's hoping!
