Crazy! 9 AM 5/7/2017.. told to call at noon! 5/4 8:13 AM?

This is Sunday morning now, a 7 month day for me. Cannot get on.

I get you. So, so frustrating. I was waiting until MS opened at 9am EST to call and modify a reservation, which meant getting up early on a Sunday (I live in the MST) and they think the system will be down until this afternoon. Super.
 
Maybe Disney needs to lay off a few more experienced IT people and bring in new ones (this is sarcasm). The site availability lately has been horrible, even worse than usual. If it happens to be your 11 or 7 month window day (or in my case DAYS since we are booking a split stay) it is very frustrating to say the least. When I called just now they said try at noon, but I guarantee you that is not a fixed time. It may come up sooner than that or later than that. And if it comes up sooner while you wait until noon you will miss your booking window because someone else will have booked the room you are looking for. I know system outages and maintenance happens but this has been ridiculous lately. And I don't think Disney really cares all that much they already have my money.
 

The system will go back down at noon, when everyone overloads the lines trying to get through.
 
Best of luck to those of you who have to book today! Wish there were someway to get Disney to really fix these issues.
 
Yeah, I am in the same boat. Trying to book two days starting Dec 7 as the back end of a split stay. As much as I love Disney, being a newer DVC member has not been a good experience yet. Maybe I will feel better about DVC after our first stay on points in December.
 
My understanding is that the website is funded as part of the DVC management fees. The more that they keep their costs down, the more money that they get to keep.

It is not just DVC right now, My Disney experience, the website, not the app, is experiencing difficulties. I tried to add a note to mine, got the "technical difficulties " memo.
 
Both DVC and Disney Vacation websites seem to be " down for maintenance". We are doing part cash/part DVC trip between Nov & Dec. I can only hope they are adding availability on cash side during this "maintenance". Next to nothing for group of 7.
 
On the upside, a break from vacation planning is kinda welcome. I've been stalking for weeks now...
 
I have been crazy waiting for today....the best "silver lining" is since I am forced to stay close to home and focus on this trip I promised my relatives, my .DH and I are putting our clothes out. We leave in 2 days for 3 weeks, WDW, cruise and Iceland! We have not begun to pack yet!
 
So the message they have up is this:

While we work to provide the best possible Member experience, our digital experiences are undergoing maintenance and may
currently be unavailable.

All of us at Disney Vacation Club appreciate your understanding as we update our systems."

The thing is - it really isn't understandable for as often as things like this come up. :sad2:

Now at 1:30, you actually can go through the motions on the phone....then you get a real CM who tells you DVC and WDW's systems are down, so " we cannot access your account, but we can answer general questions.!!!!"

No thanks!
 
It was still down at 3:30, I haven't logged in for a few days, I had no idea there had been issues the last few days! Came here and you answered all my questions. :)
