Well, evil might be a bit strong, but they are pretty bad.

My daughter was so excited about these. We got a bottle of pink bubbles and went outside to blow them. Well, washable my behind! They got all over me, my kids, the stairs and the sidewalk. We had to scrub the kids down and wash one of their shirts three times to get the stains out. The stains still haven't come up off the sidewalk, and I've even scrubbed it with a brush. This is all from about three blows of these things. They are in the trash now.

They sound like such an awesome and fun idea, but not-so-much. Anyone else have a better experience with them?

I'm just waiting for these to show up in lines at WDW.

My DD got them for Easter and we were covered. I knew luckily enough to use an old tshirt for her to wear but that still has stains on it. I was covered cause she wanted to change the wands constantly. I did do it in the grass, but it hit the siding and that still has a spot of green on it

Anything that requires applying Tilex 2-3 times a day for several days (per those stain instructions - for concrete) should not be able to be called "washable". That is ridiculous. And the directions for clothing involving pre-treating, soaking, Oxi-Clean and Tide. Sounds like false marketing to me!

I saw a news show story about these things, and they said they were a terrible mess. I am glad we don't have any at our house.

I didn't buy them because of the terrible reviews on Amazon. Sounds like they were right. :thumbsup2

My son got the dark blue bubbles for Easter. They accidentally got dumped out all over my parents living room carpeting. We had to have the professional carpet cleaners come out and that didn't even get the stain out.

I won't be buying those again....

And people on the Dis wondered why I didn't think a 2 year old shouldn't be given bubbles for their birthday :confused3

You do understand that these are colored bubbles, right? Regular bubbles won't really hurt anything more than dish soap would.

I don't think washable anything-by-crayola works well. The washable crayons took WAY more work than the non-washable, during DS's "draw on the walls" phase.

Yes, that is why I said this. The other people mentioned these as being harmless. I don't really care for bubbles for a child that small anyway and knowing that these are colored proves my point even further. I bought some bubbles for my 6 year old cousin a couple of weeks ago, not realizing they were colored (they were Jelly Belly brand), her mom pointed it out to me and wasn't really happy with me.

I'm not a big fan of bubbles anyway.

Uh, the actual TV commercial has graphics in it that says "Some clothes may require repeated washing to clean"... or something to that effect.

I use 25 - 50 gallons of bubbles a year for my job, and the kids have started asking for colored bubbles... even the teachers have.... well, besides the fact that they are too expensive, I won't use them because of the fact that they are not all that easy to clean up.

I had been warned about this, but bought them for the kids for Easter anyway. They are very dark- I would never use them in the house, and yes they got all over the wooden deck and stone pavers, but after a rain or two they were gone. I think they are fine for outdoor play, preferably when the kids can hose off or get in a pool afterwards.

I hadn't heard of these but saw the Jelly Belly bubbles today in a store. It just said "scented bubbles" and I scratched my head? Who wants to inhale a bubble? And isn't it a bad idea to name these bubbles after a food if you don't expect your kid to try and eat them? :confused3

Well, scented bubbles do not have to have color. Like I said, I use up to 50 gallons of bubbles a year, and have actually used scented bubbles by mistake. They actually smell GREAT without having to make an effort to smell them.

These ones are not coloured they just have a cherry, banana or grape smell to them. Just like dish soap would have a smell.

I have not found these to stain....:confused3

Thanks for the heads up about the crayola ones ....I thought it was a neat idea and it said it was washable , was going to get some but not now.

But doesn't the scent make the little ones want to taste them?

Not that I have noticed... well, not any more than they want to eat regular bubbles... and trust me, many kids DO EAT REGULAR BUBBLES! :scared1:

I see kids stand in front of the bubble machines with their tongues hanging out.
