If that picture was taken facing MK and off to the left, that is the wrong direction for DHS. DHS is behind you.

DHS is about 4 miles in the exact opposite direction than that photo.

Was that picture taken this morning? If so, there is an additional possibility. Yes, it could be the Splash Mountain refurb. But we saw two additional cranes in the MK on Saturday. One was over by Jungle Cruise for help with the clean up from Irma. Jungle Cruise is still showing as closed on MDE and there was a crane there over the weekend. From discussions with CMs after Irma, there was extensive damage to the ride. I was told it was a complete mess and "trashed" by the hurricane.

There was another crane that was brought in and was sitting next to the castle along the path on the right side (as you face the castle). It wasn't extended on Saturday, just sitting there in a folded position. I was told that was brought in for removal of some trees which were damaged by the storm. But this picture can't be that crane because it isn't in the right place.

I just used the "driving directions" timing and forgot to factor in the speed limit.

This photo was taken from CR on 9/4.... the crane was in the general area of Splash as you can see in the pic. At the time I assumed it had something to do with the refurb there.

I can tell from the location of the island in the first photo that the crane in your photo is in the (approx.) same area of MK.
