I hate that crane...I saw it in someone's pictures that were taken yesterday! The last time we were there (Oct 2012) it was there, ruined all of my castle pictures. I sure hope it's gone when we go in April.

Honestly? Because they can. Disney really isn't in a hurry to do anything as of late. This mindset is disappointing from my perspective.

I really dont think thats true. The Hub is coming along nicely and as scheduled.

I guess it was the Frozen Castle for xmas....hope they skip it next year if its 3 months to take down (and likely 3 to put it up)

The crane was originally supposed to be done 2/21, but they extended it to 3/12. They're supposedly doing some extra touch-ups to the castle itself or in the area. It's not because of the Christmas lights, though.

The crane's not usually up in March, but it figures that for our spring break trip last year and this year we'll get to "enjoy" it twice in a row. I was disappointed when they extended it this year-- it goes away on our departure day.

I just looked at all my castle pictures from last week and the crane is not in any of them. I don't recall seeing it, but maybe it was just the angles I was at for the photos. I have pics from 3 sides though and none have a crane.

The Castle Dream Lights (I think that's what they're called) have been put on the castle every year for Christmas since 2007 - it has nothing to do with Frozen. Last year they just changed the castle-lighting show to a Frozen-themed one rather than the Fairy Godmother/Cinderella one they've had every other year.

For anyone looking to time their castle photos to avoid the crane: Looks like they tuck the crane away behind the castle sometime before wishes, then it goes back up after the fireworks are done.
