I just booked our airfare for our October DLR trip. R/T from Denver to Santa Ana/Orange County/John Wayne dropped to $159 on United, Southwest and Frontier today. Once I figured out all of the fees and restrictions, United won out. The only things left to purchase are transportation to and from the airport and trip insurance. I hope we can tell Alex soon so he can be as excited as Tammy and I are, now that it is less than two months away. We already have worked out a clever and fun way for him to figure out the surprise.

His favorite ride is Indiana Jones, so the first thing I did was find a translation card for the Marabic runes that you see as you go through the queue. Apparently these used to be handed out so you could decode the writings as you were waiting in line.

Then I downloaded the font itself to my computer and put together something for him to translate with the card. That translation will direct him to go check his email. While he is working on the translating, I'll be emailing him this LINK. Hopefully he won't need any more clues after watching that.

Oh man, I was trying to do that for Joey and Tyler but it keeps coming up wrong code try again. I have tried 7 or 8 times. I thought it would be fun as they MIGHT go this winter after camping season has ended for them.

Work looks like it's going to be busy up until at least October 15th. When the girl took the month off during tax season it made our whole year eventful. Hopefully November & December will be a nice short breather before tax season.

I've been in a funk lately. Last weekend my witch Aunt had a garage sale and sold my Mom's things. I thought about going but the thing is, if I bought anything she would get the money not the estate. Besides I would be facing the wrath if I showed up. I can play her game though, she has been telling everyone they can not see the will because it's private information. So, I called the court house, got a copy sent to me and then faxed it to my Uncle so the rest of the family could see it that needed to. She still hasn't contacted us and Aerial is supposed to be getting my Mom's jewelry. Anyway, I really want that whole situation to disappear. Is that possible???

Tomorrow we pick up Aerial's schedule for school, she starts Monday. Summer is almost over. I am crossing my fingers she has a much better year then last year.

They say things never stay the same right???? This year full of legal junk with my Mom & Aerial will end eventually and my life will be peaceful once again.

Alex starts today. I think Tammy might have been more affected by it than he was, though they were both a little bit bummed. Neither is ready for break to be over but Tammy also isn't ready for her baby to be a seventh grader.

We talked about when to surprise him but haven't decided when yet. I'll let you know when and how it goes.

Hey guys, I am back. We had a nice time. A lot to tell and will work on that slowly for you.

We did not get home until almost 7pm on Monday. Had to come to work for first day back yesterday. Nothing has changed with the people I work with. It is truly a shame they are that miserable. However, my new and improved attitude did shine and I was very point blank with my answers when questioned. I gave little information and left it at that with my primary boss.

I am still not unpacked totally. I have to get my clean clothes out of my suitcase and unpack a few ziplock bags still.

The kids did the laundry for us yesterday. That helped a lot!

I did balance my checkbook and pay bills last night. That made me feel so much better. It is amazing how that alone can make you feel good.

Heidi, I hope you got my text. My phone still does not work out of the country or on a ship. Although with Verizon taking over Alltel this was suppose to change, it did not. So, I did not get your text until Monday or was it Tuesday. I really forget.

They did find Mac's surprise bag. Our attendant on the second cruise was nice but not nearly as good as our first room attendant. We did not get any of the upgrades during the cruise. We were suppose to have robes and very nice suite like bathroom amenities but never received them. I did not complain because honestly we did not need them.

Mac had an incident that I will tell you about later.

Erik has a 2 day orientation today and tomorrow. School starts on Tuesday.

Marcie, things WILL get better. You did an awesome job getting that will and sending it to all that needed it. Has the wicked witch filed anything in Probate Court? Man, we had to show everything. I can't imagine that she will keep the jewelry. Pixie dust for a better year!

Jrsy, I always felt so stupid when the girls would go back to school and every year I would cry. Sounds like Tammy is much like me. I was never ready to lose the girls.

She probated. The lawyer told her it was okay for her to sell the house now, she's selling it to my Uncle, for a lot more then he was hoping for. That's why he wanted to see the will. It didn't bother me, it's public property, she's just trying to get one over on everyone. Supposedly other people that have been left material things have gotten them, my Uncle and his Wife asked the witch if she had contacted Aerial yet, and she just says no. I did request to get some pictures, we will see if she decides i am worthy of some snapshots.

OMG, she sure thinks that she is "Queen Bee"! She is definitely on a power trip. To think that she takes it out on Aerial makes me mad. I am not an expert on Probate but I bet you can notify them somehow that she is not following the will. The courts do not take that kind of thing lightly.....at least here in CO.

I know, middle school! They are growing so fast and look so different every year. We were comparing the photos from our last vacation and wow, they really have changed and I never realized that!

We noticed the difference from your wedding to your cruise. We just got photos developed that went back almost a year and you can see a big difference in Alex over that time.

The kids start on Monday. Heidi, I'll bet they are bummed with a bottom locker. Rachel lucked out and got a top one. She thought it would be a bottom because she heard a rumor that if you have a top for 7th, you have a bottom for 8th. She is bummed about the location though. It is in the commons area instead of a hallway. She isn't very happy about that. I can't believe that next year she will be in High School. Where does the time go?
