Oh my goodness, Selena. WOW! I knew about Shawn and am shocked that he has gotten worse. I pray that with your intervention and talking to his parents that they will stay apart. I pray that Mac stays strong. I understand about the abuse and I also know that girls don't understand it all. They blame themselves, they make excuses whatever. Prayers and hugs. I know it can't be easy on any of you. YOU are doing the right thing. I can relate because of my dad. jMy mom and siblings were verbally and physically abused.

Today is such a weird weather day. We have had 90 degree weather this week and then today we have already hit our high at 5:00am of 58 degrees.

My DH has been surprising me all week, he is calling it my birthday week. My birthday is next Friday but we are leaving for vacation then so he decided to make this week my birthday week. Monday he surprised me and detailed my car, inside and out. Tuesday he had a card, an Itunes gift card, and a Tinkerbell figurine. Yesterday he had another card and a gift certificate for 2 manicures and 2 pedicures so that my mom and I can go together next week. Today he is taking me out to dinner to the Cheesecake Factory (my favorite place). I am so surprised! He said he is making up for missing my birthday last year, which was totally understandable because we were both going crazy with the wedding at that time.

As far as weather, we have had some weird weather like that lately. It was in the 40's and 50's and then yesterday the 80's. It looks rainy out now.

I'm having a really bad day. I called the doctor and I am going to see him tomorrow at 10:00. I am going to Mac's school tomorrow to talk with the SRO to file a report against Shawn. It is not pressing charges, just making school aware of the situation. Then tomorrow afternoon I have an IEP at 3:30 for Mac at her school. Needless to say I have decided to take the day off. I am waiting until my principal is here to tell him.

I finally was able to talk to my principal. He totally understood and even told me he is good freinds with Mac's principal and if I do not get what I need to let him know tomorrow and he will call her principal. I was so blown away. Just talking with him made me feel better. It is amazing how a little stress melted knowing he was fine with me taking tomorrow off. He is going to tell my direct supervisor that I am taking tomorrow off and he has approved it.

Today Chris surprised me with the waterproof Canon D10 digital camera for my birthday!!! I am so excited, I have been stalking this camera since they released it a few weeks ago!!!!

Friday I called the SRO and things went so well. He really was a wonderful man and so helpful. He had a "coming to Jesus" meeting with Shawn. However, when Mac got home she was in tears. Shawn came up to her in 4th period (they share this class) and told her that he was called in the office and they told him that they knew Mac was lying because they know Shawn's father. I told her that Shawn lied and I called the school. The SRO was gone but I spoke with the AP. I have never been so insulted in my entire life as I was to talk to this jerk. While he denied he told Shawn this he did go on to say that if my daughter would stay away from him this would not be going on. He interrupted me so many times during the conversation. I can not understand how he can justify phyiscal abuse being my daughter's fault. I have typed an email that I will look at again tomorrow (I have it in drafts) and then I am going to forward this to Mr. Fishel and Mr. Smith. Mr. Smith is the jerk. In the email I told him how disappointed I was in our conversation, how his tone of voice was nasty and the tone of the conversation was ugly. I did tell him while on the phone how upset he had made me. He never let me tell him that this stuff was going on because Shawn is coming up to my daughter at the beginning of 4th period and he is following her out of the classroom.
After the conversation I called my principal and he is going to call Mr. Fishel himself on Tuesday.

Now I am wondering if I need to have my principal step in. What can he do? I mean after all Shawn has been spoken to. I do not know if I should say anything to the SRO about what Shawn said to Mac or not. I really am confused on that. I know I am going to send my email to Mr. Smith (jerk) and Mr. Fishel. I just do not see right now where the problem is other than Mr. Smith being a bu-head.

I just feel that everything needs to be documented. Whether you do it through school or at home but keep a journal of all the happenings just in case you need to file something at another time. Dates, times, phone calls, things said or done by Shawn, the principal or anyone involved, any witnesses for events. DOCUMENT, DOCUMENT, DOCUMENT!!!

Wow how awesome!!! I bought the Canon sd970 over the weekend. I didn't even know about the waterproof one. I just looked it up on the Canon site. Very cool. Are you excited about your trip??

I bought Aerial a bathing suit and some shorts. I have to get a memory card for the camera. Now I just have, eyebrows, pedi & hair to go. One more weekend. I will probably drag the suitcases out this weekend.
