Did everyone have a nice day? We just got back from Brad's sister's house. It was fun and loud. I kind of have a stomach ache now though. I probably shouldn't have had both kinds of pie.

I'm here! I had a great time at my parents house. We always have fun when our families come together.

Selena - Not sure when Tyler starts the diet, they meet with the dietician on April 23. My sister thinks he might start the diet early May. The Epilepsy 5k Walk is next Sunday, I think we are all excited for it. Hoping the weather is okay.

They renamed TMJ to TMD because TMJ is the actual joint. Now it is called TMD. The D is for disorder.

JB in the house! I didn't eat too much but I did have a couple of beers. We took advantage of the weather on Saturday, other than the wind, and walked almost 9 miles. Spent most of yesterday on our butts.

I have TMJ. When I got diagnosed was the time my jaw locked up whenever they were doing teeth xrays. They had to pry the xray out of my mouth. That was 10 years ago or so.

Marcie - OMG you almost made me pass out with your story about the x-ray. Thank god my TMJ isn't that bad anymore.

It wasn't beautiful on Saturday when we were walking, the wind was very strong and we did feel a few raindrops, but it was much better weather than what we saw on Sunday. We walked from our house to the Big Dry Creek trail (near Cornerstone Park), along there to the Platte River trail and down just past Dish Network. That was just over 3 miles, so it was 3+ miles back home again. Then we decided to walk over to Noodles & Co. on Hampden for dinner; that was 1.25 miles each way. My math was off earlier; we were just under 9 miles.

I finally got a CD of Disneyland photos that my SIL and her husband had taken during our trip. Here are some favorites...

My SIL took this photo of her husband and my niece from the castle end of Main Street using the zoom and it wasn't until they reviewed their photos that they realized that her dad was in the photo, too. He is on the right in a DU cap eating an ice cream bar.

Jrsy, that middle picture is awesome. LOVE IT! I can't believe that Alex is almost as tall as Tammy. Now that was a shock. Tammy is looking beautiful as always!. Your SIL's father looks familiar to me.

I do have TMD. Like I said TMJ and TMD are the same thing but somewhere along the way most of the medical world stopped referring to it as TMJ since TMJ is the actual Temporomandibular Joint not the disorder. My dentist still calls it TMJ. However, if you look it up online you will see it is more referred to as TMD now.

Due to the stress from work 2 weeks ago I started having pains in my temple area. I started paying attention to what might be causing them and noticed prior to the pains I was clenching my teeth.

Last week I started taking my muscle relaxers and aleve. Yesterday I switched from aleve to ibprofen but I was still having some major issues and pain. Along with the temple pains, my teeth have been throbbing, I have been having headaches with the pressure points of my temples and neck aches. I also have had a problem opening my mouth without pain. Plus my mouth just felt tired.

Last night I woke up with my teeth clenched tightly together. I had a very restless night but when I woke up at 2am with my teeth clenched I was ticked off because then I knew I could not control it.

My dentist said my stress issue from work is the reason I am having an acute flare up.

I am starting a round of steroids tomorrow. I am on 600-800 mg Ibprofhen every 5-6 hours and a muscle relaxer 1-3 times a day. I have to play with that to see if I can tolerate taking it more than at bedtime.

Now I am sitting here with a mouth piece on because it is resting my mouth some. We will see after a week if I want to have a nightguard made or just keep the mouth piece I have now.
