So, parents, who have their children's needs and desires to consider 24/7, should we give Heidi our sympathy? :confused3

Are you familiar with that expression about the worlds smallest violin? :charac2:

I'll think of you this weekend when I am at home because DS still cannot seem to shake that stomach bug.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MOM AND DAD!!!!! :cool1: :cheer2:  :rockband: party: :rainbow:

Oh Man I missed this. I have been so busy. Sandy I am so sorry.

Happy Belated Anniversary. And many many more to come but not belated by me!! :rotfl2:

Goodness I am busy a few days and you guys are busy!

I think as long as Karen can send him two weeks before I leave for Florida it will be fine. That is in the normal mail. Fourteen days is March 22, 15 days will be on March 21.

What kind of instructions did he come with Heidi? Sammy comes with major instructions. He is to be mailed 15 days before the next person cruises. Very strict with him but we have a bunch of people involved with Sammy. I am talking probably 20 families in all. He is an addiction. I am sure Cosmo will be the same way.

Oh Jrsy in order for DW to get Cosmo I think I would need your address to mail he to her. Otherwise how would I know where to mail him???? :rotfl2:

I AM going to pack this weekend. It is suppose to be in the mid to upper 70's here all weekend long!!! WOO HOO We are going to cookout tomorrow and Sunday as well. Just not sure what we will throw on the grill Sunday. I have chicken for tomorrow.

MacKenzie's championship tournament game is tomorrow morning. If the win the are the whole counties champion!! Did I tell you guys about her trying out for an AAU basketball team? I think she has made it. They were thinking about cutting one but we have not heard if they decided to do that or not. I know right now we are to go to Cherokee next weekend for a touranment. Fun Fun. Cherokee is beautiful but it will be all basketball. 3 games on Saturday and one to two on Sunday. A busy weekend if you ask me.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Happy Belated Birthday everyone.

Cruises Cosmo is going on

Enchantment April 5, 2006 (Selena)
Animal Kingdom & Disney Magic: July 13th - 22nd (Marcie)
Disney Wonder: September 4-17th (Sandy and Heidi)
Freedom November 4, 2006 (Selena)
Disney Magic: December 14, 2007(Cristi)
Disney Wonder: December 31, 2006 (Lulu and Robbie)

Updated the list by switching Cristi and Lulu's cruises.
Crisit you will have to mail Cosmo to Lulu as soon as you get back and it would be safer for you to do a priorty type mailing. Since you both have cruises so close together.

Jrsy you have to give up an addess to be added between me and Marcie. LOL

Selena, Christi's cruise is not this year. It's in 2007. I can't wait to meet Cosmo!!!

I'm thinking about ordering an outfit for Cosmo ahead of time so it will be here when I get him. I want to see more pictures of him first though. :cool1:

I went shopping today. I wanted to buy some clothes for work but I didn't find anything I wanted. The good news is, I found a bathing suit and coverup I couldn't live without. LOL. Here's the top.

OK…. Just a few days left and we are all outta here. I just talked to Heidi and she is frantically trying to figure out how she is going to get everything done, working her two plus jobs. She is not packed, she has to go to the dentist, pedicures, manicures, haircuts, cleaning and her list goes on and on….

I thought I was in control since I started preparing over nine months ago. The last minute change from Cozumel to Costa Maya kind of put a damper on things and stopped me in my tracks. I lost the desire to over prepare. However, luckily my food shopping for when Heidi and the family gets here was done, my hair was done, Mickey ice cubes made, Mickey cheeses, Mickey candy, Mickey Christmas ready to go (I had a bunch of Mickey presents for everyone still under the tree).

My house was clean and my biggest problem was keeping up with the falling leaves because I wanted to have it perfect when Heidi got here. The turtle tanks were clean, laundry done, and well, packing… that was done the first weekend in January (I am bad).

I put my Mickey flag up got my Mickey doormats and coasters out, personalized Mickey pillowcases wrapped (for all). I was VERY prepared. The kids had their lists and they were done. All I had to do was relax… well, how do you relax when you are 3 days away from a week cruise to the Western Caribbean?

Tonight was my last night at work. Travis had been informing me of how many more minutes I had to go till my cruise, and now we were into the 4,000’s. My other friend from work, Patricia, had given me a wine bag with Mardi Gras beads hanging from it that said “Bon Voyage, Karen!!!”…. BEAUTIFUL beads!!! That set me off!! It all became real when I got into my car after work. I was now ready to go!!!

OK… today Heidi comes in with the family tonight!!! I did my VERY, VERY last minute shopping and cleaning and really did not have to stress much as they were not coming in until 8:30. Amber now was on vacation along with me. We all did last minute exercising and tanning. We tied all the loose ends together and all got in two cars so we could ALL meet the West’s at the airport!!!!

Hugs and kisses, smiles and tears appeared as they all came in off the tram. It was a great feeling and we all could tell by looking at each other that this vacation was well deserved along with well needed. We got their entire luggage (this was a test to see how much room we would have) in the truck and car. That alone was enough to make you laugh!!

We arrived at the house and since everyone was wide-awake and since there was a ton to do tomorrow, we did our Christmas right away. Matching Mickey pj’s for everyone, matching shirts, matching jackets for the girls, matching Tink pj’s for the girls, matching sand dollar necklaces (hand made by me from sand dollars we picked out of the bay water). We had matching bags and matching visors and matching everything. The guys each had a Disney tie and I could not believe my ears…. No complaining!!! The best was yet to come when I gave out all the red Kappell Family Reunion T-shirts. STILL smiles!!!! This WAS going to be magical!!!! J

Ryan and the older kids went to Ambers and everyone crashed for the night. The next morning all I wanted was for everyone to get together for brunch.
So before we went to bed, Heidi and I relaxed and watched Survivor together (well, in between passing out on the couch!!). It was evident we were exhausted.

Hi guys! For those of you who missed my Part One report... here it is. I am going to desperately try to get some pics to Heidi (somehow) to post that will go along with this report before I try my next day. Sorry it is long, but it is all ready to go into my scrapbook this way. I have had MAJOR computer problems and I don't even know if I will be abole to emailyou tomorrow, but don't think I have forgotten you!!!! Hope all is well with everyone! I am still trying to recoup.

Selena... you are just to darn cute!!! :) You make me smile!! OK.. bye guys! Karen

Believe it or not . . . this morning was one of the parts of vacation I was looking most forward to!!! Why, you ask?? Because this morning I was going to give everybody a dose of Mickey Magic to get them all in the mood. I went to great lengths to get everyone excited. For brunch I served Mickey scrambled eggs, along with bacon and fresh fruits, desserts and the best part… my Mickey waffles!!!

After brunch, as I finished all my last minute tasks, the older kids went their own way for the afternoon to the mall as Doug and Larry went to get Cubans, and as Heidi and I hopped over to the Hard Rock for a little while. Incidentally, the older kids ended up there and we bumped into them! That was cool.

Around six in the evening, Heidi and I picked up pizza and headed home and tried to relax for one last moment before the craziness started. Mark and Kit came over and visited with all of us and Kit, as usual helped me out by giving me a foot massage in between me doing last minute hemming. We made some chocolate martinis . . . by the way, if you are not used to drinking these on a regular basis… pace yourself J, that is a word of advice from someone who knows better… now!!! (Hahaha) J

Afterwards, the guys packed up the truck as we toasted to our family vacation and as I went around writing down what everyone’s expectations were. We all set our clocks and I passed out as the others went to bed slowly thereafter. The older kids were to meet us at 7 a.m. sharp in the morning.

MacKenize's Team WON!!!!!!!

Boy was that a tough and great game. We were down by 8 at half our girls were NOT playing their best at all. The other team which we had played twice were on their game. They have no height on their team and most of our girls are tall so they had to sink 3 pointers in which they did in order to get ahead. We were not getting any shots off because our point guard was being greedy. Finally the coaches set her straight and she calmed down. We came back to win by 3. It was such a wonderful game. I was so proud of those girls.

Karen, I enjoyed reading part 1 of your trip report. Anxiously awaiting the rest.... :Pinkbounc ;)

Congratulations Mackenzie!!!
Today I pick up about 400 pics at Walgreens and I am hoping I will be able to send pics off of the disc I am also getting. I won't get home til late, but as soon as I can, I will try it out. Then comes part 2 already to go!!
Happy Sunday everyone! Karen

Jrsy, don't you see? I am trying to get you to reveal yourself!
Oh, please, you guys don't really care what my name is or what I look like, do you?

Jrsy you are so funny. No we do not care but we love picking on you. BUT if you want Cosmo we have to know you to send him to your wife now don't we??? LOL

Thanks everyone on the congraulations to Mac. I am a little (A LOT) upset at both my my spoiled brats right now.

Mac had a friend to spend the night Friday night and Holly went to Mac's game with us Saturday. Holly seems to be a great girl. She had been over several times. She is one of those girls you just trust and do not have to worry about coming over. Well since Mac's team won I took them shopping at the mall with them knowing after the mall I had to go to Walmart to do some grocery shopping. We finish at the mall and then go to WlaMart. Now I hate that store with a passion but it is so much cheaper than anywhere esle. The entire time I am in that store my child complains about being there. Holly finally looked at her and told her I think we got it now. You hate going to the grocery store. I was so embarrassed at her. I was also so mad I could hardly see straight. I mean I work my tail off to give them things and all I ask in return is to go with me to Walmart so I would not have to drive 20 minutes home and drop them off and drive 20 minutes back!!! After I took Holly home I explained to my brat how ugly she had acted. I also explained the fact I hate Walmart with a passion but if it saves me $20 weekly I will fight the crowds there and go.

Then Erik has a melt down a few minutes ago. I can not take this today. I was looking forward to taking them off and shop with them today but now as disrepectful as E was a few minutes ago and the way Mac acted yesterday I do not think they deserve to go shopping. My kids love to go shopping when it is for them. I think I will lose it if I took them shopping and then one of the or both of them acted like Mac did yesterday. I wanted to go to Michael's to buy some beads to make an ankle to match some new shoes I had bought at Charlotte Russe yesterday while we were out today. I might just go by myself and leave the kids here!!!

I was going to take the kids shopping today for some shorts and capris but I am so upset with them I think they will just wait now. It is suppose to be in the high 70's until Wednesday then go back in the 50's. I think they can just wear their jeans for the rest of the week.

I forgot to add, Karen I can not wait to read more. I am on pins and needles here to find out more about your vacation. You haven't even gotten to the cruise yet and I am loving it!

Jrsy... you have been our Mystery Man.... and it KILLS us!!!! Send a pic... give a name.... a hint!!!!! We are FAMILY for God's sake!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Selena... remember they are kids... and alot of the times they just forget and do not realize the things we have to do as parents to make their lives better. Take about 20 minutes out for yourself and relax and you should feel way better.
I hope to post more tomorrow. I cannot wait either!!!!

Hang in there Selena!! And you have us to vent to, anytime you need to.

Jrsy, there is something to be said for mystery but if you want Cosmo you gotta give it up. :rotfl2:

Karen, I can't wait to hear your part 2.

I went shopping again today. I bought a lot of stuff, but I really needed it. I bought 4 pairs of shoes. :rotfl2: Now that it's spring I can wear open toe shoes to work and my shoes from last year are getting worn. I'm really hard on shoes, soooo I had to buy, black, white, brown & a pair of flip flops. I ordered that hawaiian dress a week ago and I still haven't gotten an email about it being shipped. :confused3 Next time I go shopping I will need to buy shorts and stuff for the trip. Selena, I DREAD taking Aerial shopping. She is not into clothes a lot. It's always a big hassle to get her to try stuff on. And, if I shop for me she whines. But, soon I will have to bring her, she is going to need a bathing suit and some shorts, and a few nice outfits.

Sandy, Heidi, Lulu, Robbie, Christi I hope you are all having a great weekend.
