I don't like to take my daughter shopping either, but it is because she wants to try absolutely everything on. She is into shopping way more than me. I have times that I really like it, but I have to be in the mood for it.

It is still snowing here. It has been off and on all afternoon. It must be melting as soon as it hits the ground because we only have maybe an inch of snow.

Hang in there Selena :grouphug:

Hang in there Selena!! And you have us to vent to, anytime you need to.

Jrsy, there is something to be said for mystery but if you want Cosmo you gotta give it up. :rotfl2:

Karen, I can't wait to hear your part 2.

I went shopping again today. I bought a lot of stuff, but I really needed it. I bought 4 pairs of shoes. :rotfl2: Now that it's spring I can wear open toe shoes to work and my shoes from last year are getting worn. I'm really hard on shoes, soooo I had to buy, black, white, brown & a pair of flip flops. I ordered that hawaiian dress a week ago and I still haven't gotten an email about it being shipped. :confused3 Next time I go shopping I will need to buy shorts and stuff for the trip. Selena, I DREAD taking Aerial shopping. She is not into clothes a lot. It's always a big hassle to get her to try stuff on. And, if I shop for me she whines. But, soon I will have to bring her, she is going to need a bathing suit and some shorts, and a few nice outfits.

Sandy, Heidi, Lulu, Robbie, Christi I hope you are all having a great weekend.

This made me laugh. A few years ago at a party, my nephew (age 9) was complaining about his mom and she said "I'm not so bad. What do I do that is so bad?" He replies "well . . . you make me do homework, and read a book a week, and make my bed . . . . " She replies "that's not so bad" He responds loudly "AND you make me try on PANTS!!!!"
:rotfl2:
He said it like she was making him try on medieval torture devices, lol.

Anyway, I am home, doing work for school. I am sick again. I was horrible on Friday- I barely made it through the day at work- I really should have stayed home. Robbie's at a friend's birthday party. I was supposed to go, but I just couldn't pull up my bootstraps, you know?

Anyway, I tried to rest, but I ended up doing more cleaning and work than rest.

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. can't wait to hear all about them!!!

I am thinking it will be an early night for me I'll make some tea, and get in bed.

Oh, and I hit 1000 posts and I didn't even realize it till today!

:cheer2:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl: Yes!!! That's about how it is with her. I will be sooo glad when she likes to shop. Doesn't that happene eventually with girls??? Or, then again, I may go broke then.

I hope you feel better soon Lulu. I've been watching Extreme Makeover Home Edition and it made me cry. I'm about to watch Desperate Housewives and then make it an early night myself. 5 more Saturdays and tax season is over!!!!!

My kids love to clothes shop. I am not kidding. MacKenzie loves clothes. Erik either loves them or he is jealous that his sister gets something and he doesn't. Jeff and I have not figured that one out yet. Hey either way it gets the kid to go. But he does NOT like to try on things. He takes that after me. I hate to try on at the store but I hate taking things back even more.

I did give in and I did take them. :confused3 Only because I wanted to do a few things. :lmao: Plus I knew if I did not take them yesterday it would be weeks before I have the time to do it again.

Tonight is the big night to find out if MacKenzie has made the basketball AAU team she tried out for. She wants on this team so badly. I hope she makes it. So please send good wishes her way.

I have to be at work early every day this week in order to leave early on Friday. If she makes that team we play a tournament that is 3 hours away.
I have to make up 2 hours of work in 4 days. Yuck! But hey we do what we have to do.

I hope everyone makes the best of this Monday. Have a good one.

Karen still waiting on the next update.

I thought about it and then remembered this a family board. :teeth:

Jrsy - we must have been close to crossing paths on Saturday of you went to that King Soopers, because I was at that King Soopers the same day.

Marcie - I love that swimsuit, very cute. I love shopping, it is an addiction for me!!!

Mac - Congratulations on winning this weekend and GOOD LUCK to you for making the team. I am sending Pixie dust your way. :wizard:

Selena - sounds like you are going to be very busy if Mac makes the team!!!! Hopefully your week will go better than your weekend and your kids will do something nice for you!!!!

Karen - I loved your trip report, can't wait to hear more about it!!!!!!! I got so excited reading it!!!!

My mom is MIA. She has the flu and has been very sick since yesterday. Unfortunately for her, they were bouncing between my grandpa's house and Lou's house and she woke up sick at my grandpa's house. From what my dad told me, they were trying to get up the road that has a bigger hill and my dad's car couldn't get tranction to get up the road due to all the snow. Thankfully some neighbors helped push them up the hill. I couldn't imagine being sick and having to deal with sliding down the road. Feel better mom.

Yes, we did end up going skating. Much different then when I use to hang out there and go skating. For all those in CO, we went to Fat City (aka as Fun Plex when I was skating there). We had a lot of fun, it had been over 10 years since the last time I went skating, but the girls did great. They did end up getting bruised knees from falling, but they did not want to give up. There was a guy there that was a really good skater and he was showing off and doing tricks on the roller skates, so that's when the girls really started falling!!!! They were either watching him and losing their balance or they would try and do tricks like him!!! After roller skating we went to play in the arcade. Fat City has skating, bowling, laser tag, arcade, bumper cars, put put golf, and a spinning ride...it's a pretty big place.

Now I need help. While I was still sleeping in the early morning, my wonderful boyfriend (after telling him a month before to NEVER do it again) let his girls color on a balloon with a sharpie marker while on the COUCH. And you guessed it, one of the girls accidentally dropped the marker on the couch and I have a nice red mark on my new couch. On top of that they were playing with the balloon and it rubbed off on their fingers and they WIPED their fingers on the couch. So now on one side we have a red dot, an the other side of the couch we have blue and pink blotches and finger prints. I could just kill him, we haven't even had the couch for a year. The furniture store only suggests water and Dove soap and to not soak the stain and the blot the spots. Well that doesn't work, (DUH, because it is PERMANENT for a reason) They said they cannot suggest anything else because if anything happens then they would be liable. I am so irritate and angry. Chris should have had better sense and the girls are almost 9 years old and should no better than to WIPE their DIRTY fingers and hands on the couch. Ugh, oh ya, by the way my couch is Tan and the material is Microfiber.

Talk about bad day... I KNEW once we got back from the cruise DH would have some changes going on... he just told me he has a job offer in Nebraska.
I am headed for some rough times. I hate Nebraska, FINALLY got all my kids settled here (because he wanted to move here) and now this. Not a good day. :sad2: :guilty:

Okay, I have an idea...what if I posted a picture of myself and you tell me what you think my first name is (or should be) based on what I look like? And, as tempting as it is, I promise not to post a picture of Matthew McConaughey or Jesse McCartney or any other hunky McGuys. And you know I can't do any of this until Sandy is healthy enough to participate, too, right?

WWWHHOOO HOOOO!!!! Jrsy gave me somthing to look forward to!!! He made me smile!! I LOVE guessing names!!!!!!  I am ready Jrsy!!!!

Sandy I hope you get better soon.

Karen I am so sorry and will be thinking about you.

Jrsy if you look like Matthew...oh yeah this is a family board :rotfl2:

Heidi, I would want to kill BF if I were you.

Alright!!!! A guessing game. I can't wait to see. :woohoo:

Heidi, I would try what Karen said or shout wipes. It's worth a shot. But be careful with spreading.

OxyClean has wipes, too. My DW swears by that stuff.

Thanks for all the great ideas!, I will try them all out until I have exhausted every method, or the stains are gone.

Did someone say Mathew McConaughey? OMG that guy is so hot. Too bad he doesn't wear deodorant.

Jrsy - Great idea, I love guessing names!!!!! And no I didn't pick up red hots for my mom (not that nice!!!!), I picked up fresh french bread and skim milk for me!!!!!!

Hi guys, just a quick peek but will respond more tomorrow.

Congrats to Mac!

Karen, quit teasing us.....we want more!

Okay, for now you need to get a good picture in your head of what you think I look like. I will post a picture Tuesday to give you time to put your imaginations to work. Here's how you start: picture Matthew McConaughey then change all of his features to the exact opposite.

I promise that the picture will not only be my REAL picture, but I won't be sneaky and post the one of me at Epcot in 1988.

Speaking of Matthew McConaughey, I want to see Failure to Launch.
