I wish we'd been able to get more pictures so you wouldn't have had to post this one with my eyes closed! I agree that it was a very fun night and am looking forward to doing it again, too. What Heidi didn't mention was that after we left the restaurant, we spent another half-hour chatting in the parking lot! And Marcie, we were all waiting for you to walk in the door at any time.

Selena, we'll keep our eyes open for Cosmo next week. Other than taking pictures, is there anything else DW needs to do with him or for him?

She should add some kind of trinket or souvenier before she ships him on. :goodvibes

Wow, everyone must be busy this weekend. Just popping in real quick.

Jrsy... you are really going to think I have been sniffing the markers. I was driving home from Kohl's today and I saw a giant ice cream cone waving at me. :rotfl2:

Hi, ladies!!

It has been too long. I've missed you guys! I hope all of you are doing well. I've been having a few issues- medical and otherwise lately,I'll tell you guys more lately, but I'm doing better, but I will be reading over everything soon. The pictures from your meet up are adorable!

And Marcie, I'm glad Aerial is okay. Her chest muscles are probably strained from all the wheezing and even though she's doing better, she's probably still really sore. :( My brother has severe asthma and allergies and I know he's had a lot of pain.

Selena- the candy bra is hysterical! Your trip report is great!

And OMG, that guy was having WAY to much fun with Cosmo- like Brokeback Mountain kind of fun! I've definitely been away too long!

I kind of miss the fun of being with lots of people on a big vacation like I used to do when I was in college. It can be a lot of fun!

My SIL is planning her first ever WDW trip w her DH and 2 DS - she's staying offsite and really overpaying on a lot of things. I tried to help her out but she's not doing things the way I'd do them, that's for sure.

I will be on the computer a lot tonight because I have a ton of lesson planning to do, and I'm researching a lot of background information for it. So I'll stop back in and check on my favorite monkeys!

It is so good to see LuLu posting again!! We were all wondering what happened to you. Glad you found your way back "home".

HAPPY 13th BIRTHDAY MAC!!!!!!!!!!! :cheer2:  :Pinkbounc party: :bday: :cake: :rainbow:

Selena - you have a teenager now, good luck!!!!! (I was a good teenager, just ask me and I will tell you) :teeth: How did the sleepover go?

Marcie - Sounds like you had a pretty stressful weekend as well. I'm sorry. I hope Aerial is doing better today. How scary. Prayers and pixie dust to her and you!!!! :wizard: :grouphug: Please keep us updated on how the doctor appointment went today.

Yes, I did forget to say that we still talked for 30 minutes in the parking lot. I think many people were afraid of us, they wanted the spot we were standing in, but drove by. :rotfl2: I didn't think we looked like that rough of a crowd.

Cristi - Those hot flashes were horrible, the tank top didn't help either. I have never had hot flashes from alcohol before!!!! Maybe some of that Malibu Margarita carried over when you saw the ice cream cone waving at you. :lmao:

Thanks, Marcie. Turns out I didn't have to ask; she was planning to do that anyway.

It didn't call you "snugglebear" in a French accent, did it? I was playing pinball in Lyons on Saturday night and got cursed at by a pinball machine.

They probably saw Cristi's scars and thought, "I don't want to mess with that group!"

Gosh you guys are a bunch of yacky people!

Lulu, so glad that you posted. I have been thinking a lot about you. Hope everything gets better for you.

Marcie, BIG hugs to you. :grouphug: I hope Aerial gets to feelilng more like herself soon. I hate to hear about a child in pain!

Selena, I can surely relate to you feeling sad about your baby turning into a teen. I remember how I felt when the girls turned 10. I thought to myself that they would never be in "single digits" again. Then they turned into teens, and then could drive at 16, then high school graduation, then college graduation, moving out, getting married and then having babies. Each step made me sad. I knew that they were not "babies" anymore. I hate being an emotional parent.

Heidi, you were a good teen, yea right. :teeth: :rotfl2: ;)

Cristi, so that means that I will be seeing a waving ice cream cone now? Doubt it......have another malibu margarita, why don't you? :rotfl:

Yep, looking forward to another get together but this time Jrsy chooses the restaurant. Do you guys know how hard it is to call him by his real name?? Did you notice that I :rotfl2: didn't complain about hot flashes, Heidi and Cristi? :lmao:

Still haven't heard from Karen. Once again, good to hear from you Lulu.

Just thought I would bring the list to this page if it isn't already. Jrsy, when you get Cosmo let all of us CO people know and we will have to meet up again.

It looks like we will have plenty of time between DW returning from Vegas and needing to get him out to Marcie...that is if Marcie can wait and doesn't want him ASAP.

I will select Oskar Blues in Lyons for our next outing. We can have them send their RV to pick us up and no one will have to worry about driving. That trip would certainly get all the spouses & significant others interested! Actually we went there for my bEARTHday dinner on Saturday and, as usual, the food and fresh brewed beer was outstanding. Okay, Heidi, let's hear your story about Oskar Blues now...

Happy Birthday Mac!!!!!! :wizard:

I brought Aerial to the doctor and then we went to the outpatient for sinus x-rays. So we will see what that shows. I sure hope it's okay. She does have a sinus infection so the doc gave her antibiotics. I am not feeling too good myself now. My throat is all red and scratchy. :sad2:

Jrsy you can keep Cosmo until the next funkey monkey meet. :goodvibes I did actually buy Cosmo something over the weekend.

:lmao: I have never been there before. I have heard stories but never went up there....too far away for me. I didn't even know they had a RV!!!

Did anyone watch Apprentice last night? I was so happy with the person that got fired. That person drove me crazy.

Woke up this morning to snow!!! The grass and trees are all covered with the white stuff.

Ha ha Heidi. Jokes on you. I didn't type the days in. I just copied and pasted. Did you do it wrong originally??

Marcie, so sorry that you aren't feeling too good right now. Hope it goes away soon.

Well I guess I've got a story to tell for our next dinner...not that you won't be able to top it, but at least it won't be topped by a better Oskar Blues story.

jiminyC_fan said:
Oskar Blues???? Once again, you are talking "greek".
It is a restaurant/brewpub in Lyons. I was kidding about having our next outing there as it is so far away. They do actually have an RV; we were picked up and delivered up there last fall, but you'll have to wait until we are together again to hear the rest of that story...

Jrsy I think it will depend just what all she want to do with him. He is very big and not easy to carry around. Man we got a lot of stares carrying him and Sammy around. It was very funny. I did not carry him around as much as Sammy because he was larger and not as easy to carry. Sammy is very small and fits in the pocket of my Enchantment bag.

I meant to send some pictures of him to start an album to send around with him. I will try to get that done and send it to you in the next little while. Then every one can not only post pictures here they can add it to the album.

I have several new clothes for him and a few souvies in there from Cozumel. I really did not buy anything from Key West besides my drink from Fat Tuesday in the cooler cup.

Ok I am going to finsih reading up and post part 1 of Day 2. LOL

I went ahead and booked that private tour with Joyce Prince for the afternoon we are in St. Martin. I am excited about it. She said one of her stops is a Guavaberry Factory to taste Guavaberry Liquer. Sounds good to me. :thumbsup2 This morning I've started working on door signs. I can't believe I will be in double digits soon.

Aerial is okay. She's still complaining of her chest hurting, and I know she is a little scared of it happeneing again. She woke me up twice last night. She is not wheezing or anything. I will just be glad when I talk to her Dr. on Monday. I don't get why she is not wheezing but her chest hurts so much. She had been complaining of her chest for 3 or 4 days before she passed out so obviously something is definitely going on. This is just not the typical asthma flare up for her I guess. And that's what is scaring me. I think I got new grey hairs this weekend. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Marcie on the other board I chat on they love the guavaberry liquior. They were just talking about it. You get samples too. One of the girls said they gave her as many samples as she wanted then after about 5 the just poured her a cupful!!

I am glad to hear that Ariel is doign some better. Have you been back to the doctor yet? They have to get her on the preventives soon!!

You know I did not shed one tear yesterday. I really thougth I might do that. We were so busy that I did not have time to think much along those lines. My dad called and he went on about how she is 13 and can you believe it. I said no. Then he said, doesn't that make you feel old? Well dad I had not thought about that until you brought it up! I had to think him for that statement. The bad thing was he went on and on about it. LOL I am only 37! I look more like her older sister since she is so very mature looking. Or at least that is what everyone tells me. Maybe they are just being nice.

This morning when I was getting ready Jeff walked back in the bathroom to me. I looked at him and said our baby is working on her 14th year of life now. The tears came to my eyes and they started to burn. He looked at me and said NO our baby (Erik) is going to Middle School next year. I tell you I felt like a water sprinkler at that point.

Heidi my local tv station had pictures of the snow that fell in Colordo. I thought that was so cool. I thought of each of my Disser buddies out there.

Part 1 of Day Two
April 6

Well as I said I woke up sometime around 4 in the morning. I got up and drank some water and then notice the light blinking on the phone beside of my side of the bed. I tried unsuccessfully to retrieve the message several times. I decided totally against waking Jeff. I went back to bed. I woke again around 7 in the morning. Jeff woke too. I told him about the message and he worked on the phone while I took my shower. He finally was about to get the message and it was from Janet telling me that before I go a few doors down and start knocking on the door they are no longer in that room. I called the room number she left and Barbara answered the phone. We spoke and she told me about the bedbugs. We got off the phone and I finished getting ready. While I was getting ready Jeff went onto our balcony and this is what he saw? You will all have to wait until I get home to post the picture sorry. I have them at home and can not get on at work to post them...

We met Annmarie, Janet and Barbara for the free made to order breakfast. The breakfast was wonderful. They had almost everything you could think off to eat all for FREE!! We all sit around the table for a while over coffee chatting. Finally we went to the concierge desk to ask for a van taxi to arrive at 10 to take us to the port. We all ran upstairs to pack back up. LOL I had unpacked almost everything that morning looking for the clothes I had planned on wearing to the ship. I found out very quickly I did not pack wisely. I will not do that again. Everything I needed was in the bottom of my suitcase. I normally put everything for the stay before the cruise in my carryon but between Sammie and Cosmo I had not room! I will pack differently one way or another in November!! We meet back at the concierge desk to find the clerk gone. No taxi and we did not know what to do. Janet and Jeff went up to the Check-in desk to ask and they called us a taxi. We were all so funny in the lobby with our mound of luggage. Remember there were only 5 of us but look at this picture. Sorry you will have to wait. I guess this is what I get for doing this at work. LOL

We decide to go outside to wait on the taxi. While out there we took their picture.

Remember I warn all of you Sammy might get Cosmo in trouble. We had to beg the cops to not take them away.

While waiting for the taxi a nice employee came out and asked us if we needed help. The Embassy Suites does have a shuttle but it does not start until 11. This was the shuttle driver. He gracious offered to take us to the port. Woo Hoo. We were off!!!

We get to the port to find lots of people in a line. And the port directors were fussing at everyone. LOL One of the directors fussed as soon as the driver let us off. She said you do not let them off here they get off up there. We told him it was fine we would take out luggage to the correct door. What happened was the people that were standing around were the ones who had just gotten off the ship. They must have had a wild cruise because not only did they get off late they go on late too. One lady told me that they did not get on the Enchantment until 1:00 the day of embankment. She wished us better luck!

We find the porter and give him our luggage and go to get in line. We had about 20 people in front of us. At this time Annmarie realizes she did not bring her birth certificate and she does not have a passport. Oh NO!! Janet calms her down and told her that her sister did this a few years ago and she had to sign a form allowing her to go. Finally the line opens and we are off. Janet is a Platinum member with RCI so we as her party were allowed to go to the special sitting area where we get on the ship first. Woo Hoo. Very nice! We had a little trouble with waiting for Annmarie to fill out the form and to get in the correct area but the gentleman that helped us was very nice. I think we sat there for about 30 minutes. Check-in at Ft Lauderdale was so different from Port Canaveral. I have been with RCI out of PC before and it was like night and day different. Regardless of whom I have sailed with in PC you do it the same way as Disney checks you in or use to check you in prior the new changes. Anyway, the way FLL handles this is you get in line, the terminal opens, you go their security and then you are directed to a sitting area. Of course we got to go to the better sitting area due to Janet. Thanks Janet!! Once you can board you do the check in process. You do not get your sea pass card or anything until the ship is ready for you to board. You know you do the check in at PC first then you get in line or sit down until the ship is ready. This was all very confusing to me. I was very lost. I could not figure out how we were able to get on the ship after we checked in. I know it was crazy. Plus I had lost all concept of time at this point. I do not wear a watch. I stopped wearing one a couple of years ago when my nice one stopped running. I have never taken the time to get a new one. Plus I really like not watching a clock. OK that is besides the point isn’t it?

We were on the Enchantment by 11:30. It was so nice. However I honestly felt like I was in a haze the entire time. Of course we ran up to the Windjammer on deck 9 to get a table. But low and behold the pool bar stopped us. I am telling you that thing have arms and it would not let us by until we bought drinks! LOL

We had a great time just sitting at the pool and chatting. As soon as we noticed the Windjammer was getting busy we took turns going in to get lunch. Did not want to lose a good table. Before we knew it was time to go to our cabin. Remember I had a inside room. I have not had one since our first cruise. While it is true you are not in the room much I did find I was only in this room to sleep and change clothes. I normally go to the room a l little more. I decided it is worth the difference in price to me for at least a view room. I did not like the dark room at all. I hated not knowing what time it was. Would you believe not only did we not have a alarm clock in our hotel at the Embassy Suites we did not have anything in the stateroom to tell time by. Jeff had his watch and Janet had given me a little clip on watch. I did think right when we were walking out of the house to grab my pampered chef timer. Thank goodness for that!! I put it beside the table next to my side of the bed.

After going into this small room I decided I would not unpack. Remember my comment earlier about I did not pack well. This was a problem during the entire cruise. But there was no room to unpack my luggage. Jeff unpacked and he took up all the room. I could not stay in that tiny room so I called Janet and we were off to her Junior Aft Suite. Oh man talk about nice.

We had so much fun. Tommy had sent us a treat to Janet’s stateroom. Tommy is a friend we have met through another board. We have never met this man in person but he sent us champagne and chocolates. What a nice thing to do. We cracked that bottle open and toasted to him and our cruise. We also played hooky from the Muster drill out on her huge balcony. Very nice. I have never done that before but she said we would be fine. Well we did get a nice letter telling us about we missed the Muster drill. It told us what to do in case of an emergency. It was really funny because we all very hiding out on the balcony and trying to be real quiet so we would not get caught. The room attendants had to check all rooms and if they were vacated he had to put this card in the slot on the outside of the door. We were all like a bunch of High Schoolers skipping school. It was very funny. As soon as the announcement came on that the muster drill was over we were out of there to the deck party.

I am at work so I will add pictures of this report once I get home later today. I will finish day two later.

Does everyone like the idea of a photo album? Only thing is it is going to get heavy quick. The box already is heavy. I used the same one that Karen sent him in but he really needs a bigger one already. Yes Karen I added way too much stuff. I love one thing I bought him. I thought it would help him to get around Vegas a little easier. LOL :cool1: I refuse to tell what it is. Jrsy please take a picture of him the way he looks in the box.
