Marcie - that is great you are doing so good on your training. I think I am never going to get good at Yoga on the Wii, I am just not that steady. My friend and I did the Billiards on the Wii and it was near impossible to finish the game, it took us forever and we totally sucked at it!

Well we played 3 games but I didn't win any. I have no idea how Aerial can make the stick hit the ball everytime. :confused3 :lmao:

Marcie, I have never been a runner and never will be. I have no stamina. Period

I've learned a LOT in the past 2 months. Everything from the right kinds of socks to wear to diet. It has helped me. I still have 8 months to go before the WDW.

Oh gosh Selena. Thanks so much for your help! I know I have a borderline thyroid problem plus my age. It is so hard to keep motivated at .4 lbs!

Honestly age has a lot to do with weight loss. You know our metabolism slows down a lot the older we get. Plus if you have a thyroid problem that really does not help.

It really is hard to stay motivated. I know it is for Jeff. He came into the bathroom this morning as I was drying my hair to weigh himself. He was pleasantly surprised. He had stopped losing on the low carb diet and thus the change to WW. He had lost 5lbs in 3 days while for the last 2 weeks he had not lost an oz. He is at a weight loss of 13lbs and has 22 more to go. He said he is determined. Men have it easier though.

It really felt great this morning when I put on my favorite pair of black pants and they were almost falling off. It kind of gave me a jump in my step all day.

We can help support you on here Sandy. It is so hard. How long have you two been on WW?

I know I never use the 35 extra points while I am on WW. Not worth it.

You do know for every 15 minutes worth of exercise you can have 2 more points, right? I think I have only used the exercise points a few times.

Just found a Biggest Loser recipe that I think I will try:

BUFFALO CHICKEN–BLUE CHEESE MEAT LOAF

I don't think a single season of The Biggest Loser has gone by without some of the contestants complaining that they miss their chicken wings. At first I created a lighter buffalo wing plate with the typical wings, carrot sticks, celery sticks, and blue cheese dressing—just like you'd get at the local bar. But then I realized that the components would be excellent if turned into a meat loaf. So here it is. Just be cautious of wing sauces with too much sodium. The brands with less sodium often have a bit more fat, but since you tend to use such a small amount, they're generally a better choice. And look for a thick, all-natural sauce; I like to use Wing-Time Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce.

Olive oil spray
2⁄3 cup old-fashioned oats
1⁄2 cup fat-free milk
2½ tablespoons buffalo wing sauce, or more to taste
1 pound extra-lean ground chicken breast
1⁄2 cup finely chopped celery
1⁄4 cup shredded carrot
1⁄4 cup finely chopped sweet onion
2 large egg whites, lightly beaten
1⁄4 teaspoon salt
2 ounces (about 1⁄2 cup) crumbled reduced-fat blue cheese

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly mist a 9×5×3-inch (slightly smaller is okay) nonstick loaf pan with the olive oil spray.
Combine the oats and milk in a medium mixing bowl and stir to mix.
Let stand for 3 minutes, or until the oats begin to soften. Stir in the wing sauce until well mixed. Add the chicken, celery, carrot, onion, egg whites, and salt. With a fork or clean hands, mix the ingredients well. Add the blue cheese and gently mix to combine.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and spread so that the top is flat. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the chicken is completely cooked through and no longer pink. Cut into 8 slices and serve immediately.

Makes 4 servings
Per serving: 263 calories, 35g protein, 14g carbohydrates, 6g fat (2 g saturated), 74mg cholesterol, 2g fiber, 485mg sodium

This sounds great. I will have to add the ingredients onto my grocery list for next week. It is only 5 pts per serving.

Selena - thanks for the links. I would love to try the balsamic chicken recipe but Chris hates mushrooms. Guess I will make it when he is gone some time!

Heidi fix it without the mushrooms. It is mainly a marinate anyway. The longer you leave it in the marinate the better it is.

It's right on schedule, except the 4 days I didn't train at all for being sick. I did my longest run so far this week, it wasn't majorly hard and I was proud. I ran straight for 20 minutes. In 5 days from now it will go up to 25 minutes straight run. I've been running every other day and doing the wii every other day. I do yoga and then alternate between aerobics & strengthing. I can see a big difference in my hips from the yoga. :thumbsup2 Tonight is a combo run/walk.

Aerial and I played wii play last night. I think I was quite comical playing billards. Good thing she was the only one watching, she enjoyed it quite a bit.

Marcie you are doing so good!!! I am proud of you. I wish I could be like you. You go GIRL!!

HAHA didn't I tell you guys about the one time I was on my wii fit? I thought I could do yoga. I have no balance and I was attempting to do one of the first positions and I kept leaning over and losing the point you were suppose to stay within. It bothered Erik so badly he came and held me up. lol :rotfl2:

here is a 6 pt meal

Tomato & Spinach Toss

2 cups rotini or penne pasta, uncooked

1/2 lb. hot or mild Italian sausage, casing removed

1 pkg. (6 oz.) baby spinach leaves (7 cups)

1 can (14-1/2 oz.) Italian-style diced tomatoes, undrained

1 cup KRAFT Shredded Low-Moisture Part-Skim Mozzarella Cheese

2 Tbsp. KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese

I think I would go with a lowfat version of the Italian Sausage. Like a chicken Italian sausage or go without the sausage to reduce the points.

Marcie, I agree with Selena. You are doing great. Keep it up.

Selena, that recipe sounds great. I think I will try it with turkey Italian sausage. Do you know how much makes a serving? I have been on WW since January 6th and have lost 9 pounds. Heidi started this past Monday. LAWL closed and I have been in limbo and taking advantage of it. I want to lose for Costa Rica.

Tammy is really good at the yoga; she has great balance. Now I want to play billiards against you guys because I totally rock it. I think I have a platinum medal.

The problem is there isn't enough oxygen around here. If you went and tried to run at sea level, you could probably do a marathon.

Well we played 3 games but I didn't win any. I have no idea how Aerial can make the stick hit the ball everytime. :confused3 :lmao:
Alex has the same problem and nothing I tell him sinks in.

The photo that I posted was a gigantic cheeseburger with about four patties. Figured it was about a weeks worth of points.

Jrsy, I could maybe take you on with Wii bowling. I am good at that. I had rheumatic fever as a kid and back then they treated me like an invalid and my gym class was VERY limited. They wouldn't even allow me to run when the class was playing baseball. I could bat but not run. CRAZY!

Ohhhhh, ahhhhh, I would take that cheeseburger. No not really. I am not a meat person. I eat it but just cuz.

Sandy you are doing really well. WW is not known for losing quickly but more about being healthy as you lose successfully. You can do it.

I think the recipe was for 4 servings. I will check tomorrow and let you know.

Jrsy that is so mean posting a hamburger. Actually you can have one. I have a good recipe for them on WW.

Sandy, I am pretty good at bowling. lol I can even beat Jeff. Yes I am proud of that because he beats me at everything. Maybe that is why I hate gaming.

Selena, I am proud that I can beat Ted at bowling as well. That is pretty much it for beating him.

Jrsy - Has Tammy taken Yoga before the Wii? I hope one day I will be able to do it!

I love cheeseburgers and could go for one now!!!! If I could, I would have one pattie and 4 cheeses! I am so addicted to cheese.

I am good at baseball and bowling and can beat Chris everytime. Opposite with Tennis! Then the girls think they can beat me at mario kart because they have MK on their DS....WRONG, they don't get it that I have played Mario Kart growing up and I can whoop up on them!

I don't think there is any maybe about it; it took me forever to break 200 on bowling and reach Pro Status. I just can't seem to get in a rhythm on that game! My best game on Wii Sports is probably golf.

As far as I know, she has never taken yoga, but she does Pilates so she has a strong core and good balance. At this point, Alex has unlocked more things on MK than I can count - characters, vehicles, mirror mode and even his Mii. Of course he can sit and play it for hours on end and I'm done after two races.

Jrsy - We have a problem with unlocking items in Mario Kart because we never play single player!

Wait until next time you have an out of town business trip. You'll come home to find that Chris has unlocked everything for his character, but hasn't slept at all.
