Marcie - hang in there!

Selena - My mom and I are doing WW too. I thought it would be a lot harder than what it is. This morning I had a 2 pt breakfast of Cheerios. Lunch I will have a 4 pt salad and 0 pt sugar free jello, snack will be a 2 pt snack packet and haven't thought about dinner yet!

Heidi I like WW. It teaches you portion size and healthy choices.

OK I have to rant!!!

Let me start with I truly love my job. I love what I do. I like the HS I work at. I could not really imagine doing anything else. BUT I am so fed up with the office secretaries. I come in and I am friendly to everyone, even those I do not like I am nice. I think that is professional. I try to smile when I answer the phone so that it shows in my voice. BUT I am so fed up. One of the secretaries was out yesterday and is out today. A secretary and I were told to let the students use our phones. Needless to say the other person is not allowing student’s to use her phone. I had a couple of students waiting to use my phone so when the 3rd one came in I sent them to the office and called over to let Susan know I was sending a student to her. She point blank told me she did not have a phone for them to use. Which is bull because there are 2 phones on her desk where as I only have one phone that calls outside. She did this all day yesterday and now is doing it today. She is the reason I had to drink yesterday!! Now it is just starting again. Oh and plus she is sending every phone call to me as well. Even her own calls!! I get so upset with her. She is the one who treats me like crap when I have to leave or am out of school. But when she is out I do not act that way! I called our boss which is the lead secretary and she basically told me she was not going to do anything. She told me to call David. David is the AP who told us to take the students and help them yesterday. I then called David, and I might as well have had my conversation with one of the walls in my office. It is just so unfair. Susan is mean and hateful to so many people and it feels at times that because no one wants to deal with her attitude that they will not handle her.

There really is nothing more I can do about this situation but vent and rant. No one is going to do anything here about her. She basically rules the office. I feel like I should just apoloize for even talking to David.

Selena - Doesn't sound like a very nice work environment to work in. I wonder what her problem is? Maybe because nothing is ever done to her, so she thinks she owns the place. It sounds like she will keep doing the same stuff until someone puts her in her place (which doesn't sound like it is going to happen anytime soon). I'm sorry you have to deal with crap like that.

Here are the monkeys my mom is going to see on her vacation.

You know Heidi I truly love my job. In all fairness I have to admit the Principal has spoken to her a few times but she does not change her attitude towards people. We have had our PTSA president even say they do not like dealing with her. I know that sentences may not make sense but I work in an affluent HS and certain people you do not mess with. I just can not understand how someone so nasty and hateful who does not enjoy doing her job can keep her job. Heck she is not a team player and most people can not stand dealing with her. When I worked for her Thursday and Friday last week I had teachers who never come in the office coming down and telling me they were only coming because Susan was not in the office.

That is so sad and wrong. :sad2:

Selena, I am so sorry that this is ongoing. Unfortunately I was in your position years ago and I chose to quit. No one wants to upset the trouble maker so they go along with it. They would rather sacrifice the good employees. I have never figured out that theory. Thankfully, the DA's office had been pushing me to work for them for a couple of years so I went from one job to another. Hang in there, kiddo.

Marcie, glad you could see above all those papers to post.

WW.....I only lost .4 this week. I was so upset as I have been very good. They allow 35 extra points if you need them and I have never used them. It is amazing that I can't lose with so little food. I thought the change of type of diet would work for me but maybe not. Any suggestions?

I think the older we get the tougher it is to lose weight. I can tell I have lost a little or at least I have lost the water weight one. lol

I have had a total of 8 points today. I was not hungry but after getting home I started dinner. It really smells good too. My dinner is a 5 pt ziti dish. Here is the receipe http://www.weightwatchers.com/food/rcp/index.aspx?recipeId=68091

I will probably make some type of veggie because Jeff will need more food than I will need. It looks like I still will have points for a glass of wine. Wooh Whoooo With dinner I will have ate 13 pts and I can still have a glass or 2 of wine. Each 4oz serving of wine is 2 pts. Or I can have to servings of dinner and one glass of wine...or one serving, a 1 point veggie and a 1 point dessert plus 2 glasses of wine. Oh the possiblities...

Oh gosh Selena. Thanks so much for your help! I know I have a borderline thyroid problem plus my age. It is so hard to keep motivated at .4 lbs!

Just found a Biggest Loser recipe that I think I will try:

BUFFALO CHICKEN–BLUE CHEESE MEAT LOAF

I don't think a single season of The Biggest Loser has gone by without some of the contestants complaining that they miss their chicken wings. At first I created a lighter buffalo wing plate with the typical wings, carrot sticks, celery sticks, and blue cheese dressing—just like you'd get at the local bar. But then I realized that the components would be excellent if turned into a meat loaf. So here it is. Just be cautious of wing sauces with too much sodium. The brands with less sodium often have a bit more fat, but since you tend to use such a small amount, they're generally a better choice. And look for a thick, all-natural sauce; I like to use Wing-Time Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce.

Olive oil spray
2⁄3 cup old-fashioned oats
1⁄2 cup fat-free milk
2½ tablespoons buffalo wing sauce, or more to taste
1 pound extra-lean ground chicken breast
1⁄2 cup finely chopped celery
1⁄4 cup shredded carrot
1⁄4 cup finely chopped sweet onion
2 large egg whites, lightly beaten
1⁄4 teaspoon salt
2 ounces (about 1⁄2 cup) crumbled reduced-fat blue cheese

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly mist a 9×5×3-inch (slightly smaller is okay) nonstick loaf pan with the olive oil spray.
Combine the oats and milk in a medium mixing bowl and stir to mix.
Let stand for 3 minutes, or until the oats begin to soften. Stir in the wing sauce until well mixed. Add the chicken, celery, carrot, onion, egg whites, and salt. With a fork or clean hands, mix the ingredients well. Add the blue cheese and gently mix to combine.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and spread so that the top is flat. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the chicken is completely cooked through and no longer pink. Cut into 8 slices and serve immediately.

Selena - thanks for the links. I would love to try the balsamic chicken recipe but Chris hates mushrooms. Guess I will make it when he is gone some time!

Thanks for the recipe Sandy, I think I may try that soon.

Marcie - how is your training going for the Marathon?

It's right on schedule, except the 4 days I didn't train at all for being sick. I did my longest run so far this week, it wasn't majorly hard and I was proud. I ran straight for 20 minutes. In 5 days from now it will go up to 25 minutes straight run. I've been running every other day and doing the wii every other day. I do yoga and then alternate between aerobics & strengthing. I can see a big difference in my hips from the yoga. :thumbsup2 Tonight is a combo run/walk.

Aerial and I played wii play last night. I think I was quite comical playing billards. Good thing she was the only one watching, she enjoyed it quite a bit.

Marcie - that is great you are doing so good on your training. I think I am never going to get good at Yoga on the Wii, I am just not that steady. My friend and I did the Billiards on the Wii and it was near impossible to finish the game, it took us forever and we totally sucked at it!
