After viewing your pictures Marcie it makes me wonder how in the world you survived it. I am so thankful that you and Aerial are alive!!!

Aren't they sad. The whole thing is heartbreaking. The only reason why our area held as good as it did was because our levy is 17 ft and we didn't get hit straight on like the beaches did.

Mt. Falcon is just south of Red Rocks. After you go through Morrison, instead of turning right to go to Red Rocks, you turn left on SH8, then make a couple of right turns and you are in the parking lot at the trailhead. That is the east parking lot, there is also a west parking lot which apparently has a much easier trail to the top but I'm not sure exactly how you get to that lot. Have to check the map.

Can you rephrase that question in English, please? I've been told that the west parking lot access is a much easier hike, so we are hoping to take Alex up that way. There also appear to be several looping trails on that side. The trail up to the top from that side is less than 2 miles. The route Tammy and I took was over 6 miles with a 1600 foot elevation gain.

People were commenting on all kinds of fish, aligators, snakes, even cows, being everywhere. My friend said there were snakes all in her brothers trunk. We had a little grass snake in our house one night. There were alligators everywhere and the cows were all on the highway after the hurricane.
