Really when I left I was a little sad. I mean he is a whole chapter of my life that is over and I have no desire whatsoever to go back to that chapter. He wanted to hear all about Aerial and told me I could email him updates time to time. i was honest with him and told him she felt abandoned by him and she does not want him contacting her. I didn't tell him anything about my life really, just tax season, and Aerial.

I've been watching Idol until I got so busy this week. I really like that kid Archoletta or something.

You go girl. I am sure it made him realize what a jerk he really is. Plus I bet he has realized the pasture is not greener on the other side of the fence.

I have not watched Idol much. I will probably watch it more when more people are gone.

Tonights dinner was so yummy and easy that I had to post the recipe. I got it off the Disboards.

DISboard Creamy Italian Chicken

Yummy. I had fixed something knew tonight. It is called Sausage and Tomato Rigatoni. I used Chicken Italian Sausage. Yummy.

You boil your Rigatoni
Brown your Italian Sausage, once browned add thinly sliced red onion and half of a jar of Tomato paste (Italian) and cover to finish cooking. Then drain the pasta and mix with the sausage mixture. Add the rest of the tomato paste and 1/4 Cup of Kraft Sun Dried Tomato Vingerette Dressing. Mix it all together. It is very good.

I fixed a salad and some garlic bread.

What a difference a day can make. Yesterday the high was 74 and we hit today's high right after midnight. It is snowing like crazy and Ted is out snowblowing.

Selena, that sounds really yummy. Ted and I have tried a few new chicken sausages and also some buffalo sausages. One chicken was artichoke and olive. Sounds disgusting but was very good. One buffalo was a jalepeno sausage. It was so hot but very good. We have a few more in the freezer.

I hope it stops snowing soon. Brad hasn't gone out to clear the driveway yet.

I think I will go to the store to get stuff for the chicken dish to put in the crockpot tomorrow. I think tonight we might have cheesy potato soup.

Wow you mean Texas is not the only place with crazy weather? One day I'm in shorts, the next day jackets.

Marcie, I don't think it takes a workout for you!! You are always a hottie!

Jrsy, I guess being a guy could be your excuse. BTW, no beer, I like the good stuff.

Awww thank you!

BTW that recipe sounds good. I've heard people say chicken doesn't taste the best in a slow cooker? I've never made it in there.

We do chicken quite a bit in the crockpot. Sometimes I put it in with cream of celery soup, carrots, onions, garlic and paprika and then serve over rice. I really like to make chicken tacos that way. Just throw chicken in with salsa on top and slow cook. Yummy

I make chicken in the crockpot all the time. The recipe I posted I used chicken tenderloins just because that is what I had on hand and it was so moist. It just melted in our mouths. BUT, tenderloins are known for being tender and moist.

Cristi, Ted and I just got back from Fudruckers. The moisture from this storm is unbelievable. So much water on the roads.

Sandy, are the roads slick at all or just wet? I don't even feel like going out in it. Brad is out, went to the grocery, the milk store and he is stopping by Chubby's to get some happy food for himself. :)

Well the weekend is almost over. YUCK. It has not been the best weekend.

My mom is trying to put off her knee surgery but she hurt her knee last night at a wedding. I told her she needs to just go ahead and get it over with now that the doctor has cleared her for surgery. She does not want to be stuck in recovery over the summer. She loves to work in the yard and it is something that she looks forward to but she needs this surgery.

MacKenzie had a "friend" over today. He seems to be a nice young man. He also seems to have his life in order. He knows what he wants to do when he grows up. lol He says he is going into the Military and goinig to college for radiology. (sp) He was in a bad dirt bike accident last year.

Crockpots....mmm...I have never had one that cooked properly. Every single one I have purchased cooks way to quickly. Even the new one I bought. I thought a crockpot was for putting food in it and coming home and it was ready, no not mine. If I did that I would make some type of meat jerky. No matter how much liquid I put in the crockpot it disappears like a magician. If and when I use mine I have to watch it and cut it off after 2 hours. I actually used it today. I fixed a nice beef stew, and I had it on low and had to cut it off after just 2 hours, it was done. I am so disgusted. I would love to have a crockpot that I could use and not have to watch.

Chubby's, fudruckers....why wasn't I invited to these places!!!! Breakfast burritos and burgers, yum!!

Selena - my crockpot cooks hot too, I usually start it off cooking on warm and then when Chris gets home he changes it to low.

Saturday was a beautiful day and Hot, so hot I was going to attempt to ski in my bikini ;) Anyone want pictures, I will send them to you. ;) Lots of snow yesterday and the wind was crazy at my house.

Heidi, our pictures are in demand, I say send em.

That's right. Keep those pictures going. Jrsy loves all the pictures he can get!!

Just out of curiosity, Selena, is your crockpot a Rival brand and is it round or oval? Mine is a simple crockpot. It only has low and high. Wonder if that makes a difference.

Here are a couple of video clips that I shot at the awards assembly on Friday:
Clip 1
I hope you don't get motion sickness from the second clip. I had nothing to stabilize the camera.
Clip 2

Tammy was able to make it and, as soon as we got inside the school, one of the ladies from the office came out and escorted us through the back door into the multi-purpose room so that Tammy wouldn't have to go through all of the other parents. We did have to deal with some rude parents, anyway, pushing past us over and over again without even saying "Excuse me." It is no wonder that so many kids today have poor manners.

Wow, he is getting so big!!!! They are all growing up. :confused3 I am so glad Tammy got to go. I had my fingers crossed for her. Congrats to Alex.

Aerial is working on her essay to the school on why she wants to be in advanced classes in high school. The advanced program gives them the opportunity to get college english, history & math freshman courses out of the way in high school. So, if she makes it all the way through she will have a lot of her basics out of the way already. Of course she wants to go the Art Institute but first she is getting a degree.

Jrsy, Marcie IS right. He has grown a ton since last Spring when we saw him at Crisit's. Everything his teacher said is everything I already know. He is a great kid. He has great parents. I am so happy that Tammy got to see it and they found it important to help her.

Your comment about excuse me made me chuckle. Yesterday at Fudruckers I was watching an employee delivering shakes to the tables. No one (adults and kids) bothered to make eye contact with him or to thank him. I made the exact comment as you regarding kids and manners.

I am so glad Tammy was able to go see him, that is good the school was helping her out. What a great kid Alex is, I agree he has gotten so big since the BBQ at Cristi's. I picture him playing badmitten (sp?)!!

I'm trying to think of something witty to say but it's just not coming to me. Dang tax season is making me blonde and dense.
