Merry Christmas everyone!!!

I was planning to get cards out to everyone, but that didn't happen with the cruise being last week. Sorry....

I haven't had time to read much but will catch up later, just wanted to wish everyone a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS. I hope Santa brings you everythign you want.

The funny thing about seeing her 10yrs ago..... She and her youngest son (at the time 6yr) were on their way fron NM to AL and she called and asked if they could spend the night. (she had moved about 2 yrs earlier) I said *sure*. They stayed for a WEEK!!!! And she never once got up in the morningwith her son -- she would send him downstairs and told him that I would get him breakfast!
She never once helped with anything and she never offered to get dinner, etc.... She had wanted to stay longer but, the kids and I were leaving for MO the morning she left --- she said to me *I'm sure Jon wouldn't mind if I stayed here a few more days*!!!!! I told her that Jon would be very uncomfortable with her there when I was out of town....

I hope she is better about things now.......

We went to my step-mom's today. Everything was fine. She invited me over tomorrow about 100 times but she was nice about it. I told her if we got bored or had a change in plans we would go over. Now that I sit down to relax I'm tired! Still have to stay up later then Aerial too.

Aerial is bored and excited. She's been driving me crazy.

I am much worse than you. I have been home and never even addressed my cards. I had bought some and then decided to make a card picture to mail out since I get such nice ones in the mail. But the pictures I chose had something wrong with them, something about the pixel and quality, my mom took the pictures. The places I was going to use said they could not use any of my pictures. I had a nice one from last Christmas my mother took at her house. Then my mom took some great pictures of my kids. I just got so disgusted that I did not do anything.

OMG. I would say your DH would be uncomfortable in the house alone with her. That is wrong. Horribly wrong.

I think you need to set some ground rules for her stay. Lord what have you gotten yourself into? I am dreading it for you. lol

When I was younger my dad's half brother, his wife and daughter would come once a year to visit. I was under the age of 8 when they would come every summer. My Uncle passed away when I was 8 so they never came back. His wife (yes my Aunt) was horrible. She really thought she was on vacation when she came to visit. My cousin was mentally handicapped and could not do anything for herself. My poor mom worked herself to death when they would visit. She had to cook 3 meals a day and if it was something that Katealee did not like she had to fix something else for her. I remember all of this and dreaded it every year. My poor mother just wanted to keep peace and did what it took to make everyone happy. I never understood why my mother did not stick up for herself. Heck I still do not. This case stuck in my head so much that when my FIL and MIL had planned to move to the beach when they retired and let me know that they would be coming to visit us for a month every summer and would stay with us. I told them they would be welcome but I refuse to serve them during any visit. That they would be expected to help clean, cook and buy groceries. I think they must have changed their minds because they did not retire to the beach. Call me horrible but I refused to be put in the same position my mother was put into. My DH stood there when I told them with his mouth open because I am not normally direct. I normally like just following along and keeping the peace.

I know what you mean. I have to stay up too. If it were not for the stockings I could go to bed. lol I have everything else ready. I do have to unhide the kids real presents and put them in their special felt christmas bags. Otherwise I have nothing else to do.

I did have some eggnog with some amaretto a few minutes ago.

I swear I am going on a diet after my cruise. Hey does anyone else need to diet or shape up??? We can do some type of accountiablity on here. I have no support at home and would love to have some support on here. I plan on going back on Weight Watchers. I lost what I needed to this summer but then went on the pill and gained 10 lbs. I need to lose it and WW seems to be the healthiest way of doing it. I just will have to watch it because I lost my entire appetitie and had to force myself to eat. If anyone is interested let me know.

My step-mom bought me 2 workout outfits for Christmas! I was so excited! She got me 2 pairs of pants, a nike tank top and 2 jackets. She said she didn't want me catching a cold working out in the winter. I tried out one of them today while on my treadmill. Between getting sick and being busy with the holidays, I haven't been working out as much as I should. So, now after Christmas I'm going back on my health kick. Oh, and a friend of mine gave me a pair of very cute jeans that are just barely too tight. So....time to get this bod back in shape. I'm in Selena. No excuses for me when it's cold with my 2 new pants.

It is really pretty with the snow today and the best part is, we aren't going anywhere in it. We are staying home, building a fire and playing Wii and maybe watching movies.

Where did this snow come from? It was clear with a full moon when we were out last night. Anyone want to guess why the 4pm church service was so crowded last night? Could it have been because the Broncos were on at 6pm?

My step-mom bought me 2 workout outfits for Christmas! I was so excited! She got me 2 pairs of pants, a nike tank top and 2 jackets. She said she didn't want me catching a cold working out in the winter. I tried out one of them today while on my treadmill. Between getting sick and being busy with the holidays, I haven't been working out as much as I should. So, now after Christmas I'm going back on my health kick. Oh, and a friend of mine gave me a pair of very cute jeans that are just barely too tight. So....time to get this bod back in shape. I'm in Selena. No excuses for me when it's cold with my 2 new pants.

Wonderful. What do you want to do? Do you want to post what we did or did not do on here? Or do emails? Pms? I do not mind just let me know. Remember I will not be back until January 4. I also was given a new workout outfit. Not sure if it is my style but I will wear it at the house. It is a whole outfit that is rather old looking. My 71 year old mother bought it for me. lol It is a weird red color. But hey it will work.

Believe me if you had heard my end of the conversation you would have known I was trying to politely get out of it...... I really don't mind her visiting...just not for 9 days, not when I'm tryinng to get a house finished and move, and our ONLY family time for months!!!! Dh was going to take a few days off since he still has a week of vacation to use before Jan 1st.....I doubt if he will now! LOL!

I really feel for your mom! That whole *vacation attitude* is pretty much what this friend ahd last time..... I'm hoping that is different this time! LOL! Of course she has me leaving to take her to the airport at 5 AM!!! She said *I know you get up early*

I hope each and everyone of you has had a WONDERFUL Christmas!!! Ours was! Everyone came over and spent all afternoon with us -- eating, playing Guitar Hero 2 & 3 (I bought an extra guitar ) And now the kids are playing HS Musical 2 Sing it on the Wii.

6dd got more toys then any little girl would ever need.....Her oldest sisiter and BIL gve her the new American Girl doll, Julie, for one of her gifts from them. So, she is set! LOL!
