It rained this morning, but now it is sunny and 79 degrees. Don't think we will be getting snow for Christmas. :rotfl2: Although, I think it's supposed to be in the 50s next week.

Marcie, sounds like we will have a white Christmas. Some snow tomorrow and then on Christmas Day. Nothing to brag about but snow anyway.

Stephanie, I can't wait to hear all about the party. Details!

It sounds like we could get a dusting of snow tomorrow, 3 inches of snow tomorrow, or no snow!!!! I hope we get the 3 inches so Chris's sister and the family can see the snow falling and get out and play in it.

I see the snow as good in some ways (Chris's family) and bad because Stacey might not make it for our family Christmas gathering tomorrow night.

Had a terrific day today. I went with Stacey and kids to a play gym. Afterwards we had lunch. Little Tyler was sleeping when I got in the truck so he was surprised to see me. His eyes just glowed and he gave me the biggest, tightest hug ever. He kept smiling and saying "grandma" over and over. Heidi, I swear his hugs are equal to or better than Vern's!!!

Mom - what a sweet "hello" Tyler gave to you. It melts my heart when he does that. I also love when he grabs my cheeks and squeezes them together and says my name and give me a big kiss when I see him for the first time. You're right, Tyler does give the best hugs.

We reached our high for today before the sun got up, or I got up!!!

Big day ahead. Can't wait to get together with the family. What is everyone doing for Christmas this year?

We have the family over at our house - Tammy's parents, sister, her husband and their daughter. We'll also see them for church on Christmas Eve and downtown to see the lights afterward. Tammy's birthday is the day after Christmas, so I'll be taking that day off, too.

:confused3 I haven't been able to do that for a long time. So, it isn't just you.
That cooking excursion would have been a blast. Too bad you aren't doing it. Hey, I have a great idea. I can go in place of Jeff. Ya, that's it!

OK come on. I am not sure if Jeff would appreciate me threwing him over for you.:scared1:

How sweet. Aren't babies wonderful. I know they are not real little babies but they are your baies, now aren't they Heidi and Sandy? Oh I have tears in my eyes imaging him saying hello and also when "he grabs my cheeks and squeezes them together and says my name and give me a big kiss when I see him for the first time."

Yesterday was my last day of work for the year. It was nice but today is the best day!!! My husband comes home. I am so excited. He was able to leave at 10:15 right after his test today. I called him a few minutes ago and he is at most an hour away now!!! Woo I even broke open a new razor blade and shaved my legs with it!! lol

Today has been a whirlwind. Woke up at 5. I could not go back to sleep. I crawled out of bed at 6. Balanced the checkbook, paid bills, posted a few posts on another place, cleaned up, called my mom, called Jeff, made my grocery list and took my shower all by 8. Mac and I left to have our toes done. Came home and picked up E and went out to look for brown shoes. Do you know how hard it is to find a pair of 6.5 brown shoes?? I have had the hardest time. I looked the mall over last Saturday and finally found a pair today but not sure it they really fit. I bought them and will be trying them on with my stockings/socks to make sure they fit. We also went to do our Christmas grocery shopping. I am glad that is over. I do think I forgot a couple of things. BUT I am not going to go back!!!

What is everyone doing for Christmas this year?

Everyone (my mom, dad, brothers, one brothers girlfriend and his 17dd and all 5 of my kids and my sonIL) comes to my house. When my sisters' family lived up here they came over, also. This year everyone is coming over Christmas day since most of them have to work on Christmas Eve (dh included!).

I'm not cooking a big meal we are doing either a Honeybaked ham or a deli tray and rolls, veggie tray, fruit tray, etc.... :) Everything nice and easy! LOL!

I got off of work at 2 today. :goodvibes Went did my Christmas grocery shopping too. Then I took a nice nap during Oprah. I stayed up too late the last two nights and it was nice to catch up a bit. Aerial has a friend spending the night (her name is Marci too). We are about to go rent movies. Let's see, tomorrow I will probably clean my house. Sunday, I will wash clothes in my new washer and go to the cemetary. (It would be my Dad's birthday). Then, Monday morning I will get up and make our gumbo we are having Christmas day. Christmas Eve night we will be going to my Step-Mom's, her whole family will be there. Then we will go to midnight mass unless sleep would get us first. Christmas Aerial and I are spending alone together. We will get up open presents, eat our gumbo for lunch and then we are going see Sweeney Todd.

I had to take a nap today as well. I only slept 20 minutes but it really helped me.

Jeff is home. He arrive home shortly after 4:30 EST. I was in the kitchen cooking and cleaning up when the door opened. It shocked me since I did not expect him for another 15-20 minutes.

Gumbo sounds good. Want to send me a bowl?

We are going to go see I am Legend tomorrow. I already have Jeff's two weeks worth of laundry done. Tomorrow is wide open now. I do want to go to Party City to see if they have anything for the NYE cruise.

Sunday I have no clue what we will do. Might go see the sequel to National Treasure. We want to spend as much time with the kids doing fun stuff since Jeff has been gone and then we leave in 5 days.

Christmas Eve, I will do a few prep things for Christmas Luncheon and then go to Jeff's Grandmother's house.

Hi, all!!

Oh my, Tyler sounds like the most precious thing! What a beautiful family you all have.

Happy Birthday, Tammy!

Happy Birthday in Heaven to Marcie's dad. I am sure he is looking down on you and is proud of how strong you've become.

Selena, I am SO glad he's coming home!!!!!

I hope everyone's holiday preparations are going well!

Sandy, Selena, Marcie, Jrsy, Heidi, Steph and Cristi have a great weekend and hopefully I will hop on before Christmas!! :santa:

Wow, so much to read. I have to address Selena and Jeff. I could just feel your anticipation of him coming home. Getting up early and having all that energy just because it is the day he is coming home. You two share a special love! I can't wait to hear all about your NYE cruise. I would love to do that sometime.

Marcie, happy birthday to your dad in heaven. It is nice for you to go visit the cemetary. Ted and I were going to the cemetary for our parents today but they said it would be windy so we decided to wait till tomorrow. We didn't want the flowers to blow away.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAMMY!!

I guess there are quite a few birthdays around Christmas. My sister's birthday is the 23rd, Ted's sister was the 24tth, my SIL is Christmas day, Tammy, Marcie's dad. Lots of special Birthday angels.

Lulu, I loved the way you worded your post to Marcie! Tell Robbie Merry Christmas from all of us.

We usually spend Christmas Eve with my family but my brother is driving to AZ for the holidays so we had it tonight. Stacey ended up coming in the snow. Very frazzled but they made it. They have decided to spend the night here in Denver instead of tackling the highway. I was very thankful for that. Chris' family is loving every little tiny snowflake that is coming down. His younger niece was so excited to SHOVEL. How sweet! Of course, it is special to them since they live in FL! Christmas Eve this year, Heidi, Chris, Ted and I will drive down to Stacey's to celebrate just our immediate family. On Christmas Day we will open gifts with Heidi and Chris and then head to a movie. One Christmas we came home after the movie and ate a 7-11 hot dog for dinner. Memories!

Selena, I am so glad Jeff got home earlier to surprise you!!!

Lulu, it's good to hear from you!!! Thanks you for the words of encouragement.

Sandy, I am glad Stacey made it okay and that she is staying over. Hopefully you will have better weather tomorrow. Sounds like Chris' family is really enjoying the snow. Being from Texas, I understand.

The girls are finally quieting down a bit and watching Evan Almighty. Teenagers can be SO loud. :rotfl2:

Sandy, a hot dog on Christmas night at a 7'11 actually sounds nice. By then I'm usually exhausted and ready for a quiet break. This year I think it's going to be quiet here.

Then we will go to midnight mass unless sleep would get us first. Christmas Aerial and I are spending alone together. We will get up open presents, eat our gumbo for lunch and then we are going see Sweeney Todd.

I haven't been to midnight mass in years! The last time we tried to go to a midnight mass (it was New Year's Eve for the Jubilee year - was that 2000?) we were walking out the door when our younest (at the time!) threw up! LOL!

Are you from Louisianna? During my Elementary school years (2nd through 6th) we lived in New Orleans. :)

Your Christmas sounds like it is going to be fantastic!

This cracked me up. It reminded me of when we lived there and Jon (dh) was so excited during the first snow...... He couldn't wait to go outside and walk around! LOL! He asked me if I wanted to and I said *uummm. No. I've seen snow* :rotfl2:

He was born in Canada but, his family moved back to the states when he was 2 and only lived in warm climate states! TX & CA!!! He had gone snow skiing before (I think only one or two trips before then) but, never really walked around while it was snowing, etc...

I on the other hand had lived in Great Lakes (Chicago area) when I was young during January 1967 (considered Chicago's *Snow storm of the Century*) and lived in Nebraska when I was in 1st grade and had to walk to school in the snow! Back then girls had to wear dresses to school (it was a public school) so, I had lots of layers on! LOL!

Sandy, it sounds like a fun family filled Christmas!!!

My whole family is from Louisianna. My parents moved to Texas after my brother was born but before I was born. So, I was raised in Texas, but yes I am a cajun. For most of my adult life, even when I was in NY when my ex was in the military, if I cook Christmas dinner, I cook gumbo. It's a feast to me and part of my herritage. This year I will make a smaller pot since it's just Aerial and me and I plan on freezing half for a cold day in January. :thumbsup2
