Jrsy - great comic!!!! By chance, do you know anything about TV's? I am trying to decide if I should get Chris one of the ones going on sale for Black Friday for his Christmas/Birthday/Wedding gift!!!! I am not sure what the difference is between the LCD and the Plasma and what the difference between 1080 pixels and 760?

Cristi - how cute, medieval day. What was included in the feast?

Heidi, all I know is I have a LCD that I bought this year and I love it. It works great, it was a 29" Vizio at Walmart.

I did something for me at lunch. Since, I'm going to be eating with my step-mom and her family for thanksgiving and all I have to bring is drinks, I bought myself a pumpkin pie to snack on at my house. I love pumpkin pie.

OMGosh!!! I love it! I'm going to send this to dh. This week his nightly ritual includes Young's Winter Warmers. :thumbsup2
I don't know if I've ever tried anything by Young's. I did introduce quite a few people to Dale's Pale Ale this weekend while I was in Nebraska. Unfortunately, you won't be able to find that one in Texas.

Sorry, that is one of those things that I never even think about until I suddenly need a new one. We have only two TVs in our house and I can't remember the last time the second one was even turned on.

I love pumpkin pie.
Me too! I really should learn how to make it.

Heidi, plasma isn't good for high altitude. When we researched it we heard bad things about plasma in CO. If it was laid down in transport it messes it up big time. The gasses escape at higher altitude. LCD is good. 1080pi is the best and newest. It is what we have downstairs. It was new at the time we bought ours. The higher the number the more clearer and crisper the picture will be. Make sure that it is digital as in a couple of more years they will do away with analog. Where are the TV's on sale at? We want to get one for our bedroom and maybe a small one for the guest bedroom.

Wow, listen to Sandy go. You sound pretty high tech. ;)

They had chicken legs, torn up bread, veggies, fruits and pies.

Good for you! I love pumpkin pie, especially for breakfast.

You introduced Brad to that too when you brought it over to our house. We have some in the fridge right now. He loves it!

You will have to go up to Oskar Blues in Lyons if you haven't already. And plan to spend a few bucks at Lyons Classic Pinball right next door. It is rare that I don't have a few cans of Dale's in the fridge.

I'll have to tell Brad. I would have fun at the pinball place!

Mom this is my choices:
I have a choice to go to Best Buy for:
Samsung - 40" 1080p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV
1199.99

Circuit City for:
Sharp 46" LCD HDTV, AQUOS 1080p
1299.99

Sears for:
Sharp 46 in. LCD HDTV, AQUOS (not 1080p, it is 700 and something)
999.99

Crisit, the Medieval days sounds cute. The kids always like the feast at the end.

Heidi, for those choices I would probably not get the Sears one just because of the pi factor. If size is a factor I would get the Circuit City one. If it isn't I know that the Samsung one is considered good. I BELIEVE you can go to Consumer Reports.com and compare. Not real sure but when we bought the vacumm cleaner a lady had a printout from there that she shared with us.

Thanks Heidi for the site. I couldn't remember what it was from last year. I kept forgetting to ask you. Now that I am busy, see what you do????? Get me going on this computer. Shame!

Wow you guys have been chatty today.

I feel awful. This cold is killing me.

LCD is the way to go. We have a flat screen LCD that we love. We went to buy the plasma and instantly was able to see LCD was much more clear when you had lighting reflection.

Selena, you are so correct about the lighting issue! Sorry that you aren't feeling well. If you lived here I could make you some chicken soup! Hugs.

Hey everyone!
Steph those are some bright rooms! We have color on most of our walls here. I love it. I grew up military and everything had to be white.

So did I! My dad is retired Navy.

We are going to my parent's house in Loveland. My brother and his family are flying in from Albuquerque (cheap flights on SW). Then they will be coming down to our house for a couple of nights so we can have margarita pictionary night. :)!

That sounds like LOTS of fun!!!

I hope the *feast* was fun today!!! I have a 4th grader, also -- Elvis!

You can also go onto the Circuit City website and read customer reviews IF they carry the model you are looking for. I did that when I was looking for a portable music player.

I'll mention that one to dh -- he keeps an ongoing list of beers to try. ;) And he travels all over the place -- right now it is mostly out fo the country. He can order beer in many languages! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
