Ah...my goal to always be on your mind is coming to fruition. Just be careful that you don't slip with "I, Heidi, take you, Jrsy, I mean Chris..."
:rotfl2: I will try and concentrate at the wedding so I don't screw up.

Those pictures were amazing. I would love to do what you guys did, looked like an amazing trip. I would have loved to have seen the wild mustangs and the Petroglyphs. How did you know to go through the tunnel? We need to talk more and you need to take me along on your trips. All your trips you take I would love to do. I want to repeat your trip!!!!

You need to take up letterboxing. We have discovered many excellent trails and destinations just since picking up this hobby.

Jrsy, your photography skills never cease to amaze me. I love the pictures! How long were you gone? I can't believe it was just over the weekend. My favorite pictures was the three of you in the "log home".

What exactly is letterboxing? :confused3
Taken directly from the Letterboxing North America website:
Letterboxing is an intriguing mix of treasure hunting, art, navigation, and exploring interesting, scenic, and sometimes remote places. It takes the ancient custom of placing a rock on a cairn upon reaching the summit of a mountain to an artform. It started when a gentleman simply left his calling card in a bottle by a remote pool on the moors of Dartmoor, in England.

Here's the basic idea: Someone hides a waterproof box somewhere (in a beautiful, interesting, or remote location) containing at least a logbook and a carved rubber stamp, and perhaps other goodies. The hider then usually writes directions to the box (called "clues" or "the map"), which can be straightforward, cryptic, or any degree in between. Often the clues involve map coordinates or compass bearings from landmarks, but they don't have to. Selecting a location and writing the clues is one aspect of the art.

Once the clues are written, hunters in possession of the clues attempt to find the box. In addition to the clue and any maps or tools needed to solve it, the hunter should carry at least a pencil, his personal rubber stamp, an inkpad, and his personal logbook. When the hunter successfully deciphers the clue and finds the box, he stamps the logbook in the box with his personal stamp, and stamps his personal logbook with the box's stamp. The box's logbook keeps a record of all its visitors, and the hunters keep a record of all the boxes they have found, in their personal logbooks.

We left early on Thursday and got back around 7pm Sunday.

Jrsy - that sounds so cool, I will have to talk Chris into it. Thanks.

Heidi have a great time.

I can not believe how big the twins are now? Those girls have grown a lot since the picture you have in your signature. I think your sig picture was at WDW last September, right?

Have a wonderful time in Vegas. I want to go back now! lol

I have several friends that do this! Do you use a gps? I have a friend that does a ton of geochaching all around this part of TX -- and when she travels elsewhere! :)

I hope you are having fun in Vegas. I'm sorry I'm too late with this. Work was crazy today because i had to call in sick yesterday. Aerial was really sick and I brought her to the doc, she has strep again.

I had my candle party, I didn't have a lot show up, but some just bought anyway, and I am getting some nice things for my apartment!!!

I still need to check out Jrsy's pics.

Hi, guys! I hope all of you are doing well! I will catch up soon! Jrsy, those pics are great and Heidi, I hope you are having a fabulous time in Vegas. Can't wait to hear all about it! :) Marcie, I am glad the candle party went well!

Heidi, cute pics on the horses! I hope you are having fun in Vegas.
Marci, glad your party went well and the apartment is looking good

I have been busy this week. I managed to get off work about an hour early yesterday, picked up the kids and we went to the library to turn in their summer reading program stuff and pick out their free book. Then home to go to the little girl's b'day party next door and I had to finish laundry and get packed. The kids and I are headed down to Albuquerque today to spend some time with my SIL and nephew (my brother is still in Afghanistan). We will be back on Tuesday. I will probably get a chance to log on at some point this weekend. Everyone have fun!

We have never needed a gps for letterboxing. I had always thought that geocaching sounded fun, but couldn't justify buying a gps just for that. When I learned about letterboxing, it really worked with what we were interested in.

Marcie, have you finished The Deathly Hallows? I just finished it last night.

Marcie, glad the party went good.

Heidi just called. It is hot and they are at the pool. She said that there is TONS of kids this time.

Cristi, have fun! Drive safe.

I am glad she is staying cool. Are they still having the heatwave they were having when I was out there? I also noticed lots of kids but did not know if that was normal or not. They did have a dance show out there for part of the week we were there.

I know this sounds mean and nasty but when I go on vacation without my kids I do not care to have to "play" mother to a bunch of kids. It is amazing how parents just allow their kids to run wild. It blew my mind when I had to keep an eye on 3 kids that they parents came in and then left them there. They were under 5!!

Selena, I feel exactly like you. I don't like to mother on vacation either. What is wrong with these people?
