Cramps during first trimester of pregnancy

I had cramping and bleeding with my first pregnancy. Never did find out why. She is now 22 years old and has always been healthy but the first few months of carrying her were so nervewracking.

I had bleeding a few days after I found put I was pregnant and then had REALLY painful cramping for a month or do after (so bad I could barely get out of bed and def couldn't work). Doctors had no idea why but I have a lovely 2 year old sitting in bed beside me (with a grotty cold!) so try not to worry - I spent most of my pregnancy worrying needlessly.

OP, as someone who suffers from anxiety I know how overwhelmingly stressful pregnancy can be. I just lived through 10 months of extreme anxiety with a late-age, unplanned pregnancy but happy to say all turned out well.

The absolute WORST part of all is that what you are experiencing can be totally normal...or not. That is the aggravating part. I had pretty decent cramps the first few weeks...I mean to the point I felt them going straight down throught my butt and into my legs. I was convinced it was my cervix opening, but nope...just normal ligament stretching. I have had a miscarriage in the past too and the cramping felt very similar!

I truly wish there was something I could do to help ease your mind, but really there isn't. I just prayed a lot and somehow I got through it. But you better get used to it...once you have a child the worries don't ever stop! ;)
