Cramming into one room AND cheaper rate...

Did they use the scanners for your express pass/room key last time? Our recent experiences have the express pass line attendant scanning every card. This might pose some problems.

We also had to sign on a clipboard a couple days on our last trip. I'm actually shocked by this post!

AlexandNessa - I'm sorry. I didn't know that this was prohibited. I was just being honest about what I'll be doing, and I understand now that that kind of behavior isn't fostered here. I get it.

I'd be happy if the mods would lock or remove the thread altogether, since this subject is prohibited anyway. Either way, I'll not post to it anymore, so hopefully it'll die out and nobody will be further enlightened on how to accomplish cheats.

at the onsite hotels, you are allowed 2 adults without any add'l charge.
once you have more adults which is 18 and over, you pay an additional charge of $25 per person.

i took 3 sons when they were age 17,18 and 19.
ok, 4 in the room but an additional charge for the 18 year old.

anything over 2 adults brings on that extra charge.

so, if laura did book for 5 adults and 1 child, she would have paid an additional $75 for the 3 extra adults.

We just got back a week ago and I have 4 kids. We stayed at the HRH and none of the card keys/express passes said child on them. Not to mention the fact none of the people looked that closely at them.

They do not spell out "child," but next to every name on the room key is an "A" for adult or "C" for child. If you also have a star (*) next to the A or C, that means that the card holder has charging privileges.

During our last visit to US and IOA, everyone waiting to enter the main gate to the parks was made to sign on a clipboard as their fotl passes were put through. We had AP cards with our pics on them, but still had to sign and verify signatures. I don't know if it was just a random day for such checks, or if someone had gotten caught so they were checking everyone? I can't imagine what the embarassment/stress would be if caught trying to pass off someone else's card....not to mention probably being booted out of the parks. Not a way I want to ruin an otherwise well-planned vacation.

They were nice enough last time to not charge adult room price for ds who was over 18....maybe because it was our third year there? Unfortunately, when we head to Loew's Miami Beach in a couple weeks, they have to charge for ds because he'll have turned 21.

I think it's hard enough to share a room at RPR with dh and 2 ds's 6 & 9. I can't imagine fitting so many people in 1 tiny room and calling that a vacation. I like to cut costs too but that's a little extreme. JMHO.
I think they'll realize that when they get there!

I am a little confused. i have a rpr room booked for july and got a aaa rate but now im wondering if there will be an extra charge. how do i know if the rate i got includes my 3 children. the youngest is 3 so i don't know if that matters. should i call and ask who they have on the ressie. thanks

You will be fine with 5 people, as long as 3 are under 18. It is when you have more than 2 adults (over 18) that you get charged the extra $25.00 per night. Most of the rooms (with the exception of the king rooms) allow up to 5 people in the room - 2 adults and 3 kids. Any other combination that includes more adults and less children will incur an extra adult rate.

What the OP said she was going to do was register 5 people in the room and then "sneak" another adult in the room to make it 6 people and extra adults.

yup, just like goofy said, you can have the 3 littles in the room.
it is queen size beds. they will fit in fine.

sleep 2 littles with you and one little with the mr.
