Craigslist???

How long does it normally take for things to sell on Craigslist? I would like to sell my DD smart cycle, loving family doll house and my DS rescue hero collection, and was just curious as to what the time frame is that these might sell. I am sure it depends on many factors but just curious as to what others have experienced with Craigslist.

a HUGE box of barbies in about an hour.. ($40)
a tricycle in less than a week ($10)
girls 18" bike and a big box of Rescue Heros in about 2 weeks ($40 each)
a Britax Husky seat in about a month ($75)

Big things seem to do best. I had lots of clothes and smaller toys that no one was interested in.

In my area, there are usually 1-2 pages of posts every day (more on Saturdays). If it doesn't sell in a week, I try again. Usually, I get rid of stuff within 48 hours. Usually, I have multiple people requesting stuff. I LOVE Craigslist!

I sold some little tykes items and had several requests in the first week.

Some stuff seems to go fast -- single large items like Little Tikes playsets, toyboxes, etc., seem to go really fast around here. Same with the keyboard I sold -- less than 48 hours.

We listed our van in January and even dropped the price a bit, but very few inquiries and one extremely lowball offer. To get a good deal on a leftover 08, we ended up using it as a trade-in.

Read through other listings to see how people describe and price their items. I would use as many keywords as possible for people to find using the search function, and re-list it anew after a week with a different description.

Thanks for all the replies. I put up my DD Fisher Price Smart Cycle with 2 games yesterday but have not had a response yet. I am also going to put up my DD Fisher Price Loving Family Doll house which is fully furnished, a life size Barbie Kitchen that talks and my DS rescue hero's with the the Mountain Camp thing. I hope to get responses on all but we will see. Thanks again to all.

Be careful of nutjobs out there. This is a response I got for selling my dd changing table and armoire...

Thanks for the swift response, just to tell you that am okay with the condition and price of the Item, and am ready for its purchase and my form of payment will be by sending you Check with a 1st class mail delivery via ups which delivers next day.

I'll be responsible for the pick-up and the movers money will be included in your payment to avoid delay, cost of postage and to enable them schedule an appropriate time for the pick-up at your location as i have other properties to be moved.

Would really love to come for the viewing but due to my work frame that might not be possible.if you have more pics of it,you can forward it for me to have a closer look.please do get back to me with your full name and address including your cell and land number so i can make out payment.

I always put in my listing cash only, local pickup. Then I ignore all the scammer responses. Anyone who is sending their agent to pick it up or only refers to your thing as "the item" are generally scams.

I just listed a play kitchen and a vintage Sesame Street train with tracks and station on the Bloomington/Normal craigslist. We'll see if they go or not.
